PIL: can't call same method twice

Hi, I encounter a problem, that I can not explain at all: I have an external method to resize an image (see below). I can call the method without a problem from a script within Zope and it does it's job. Hovever, if I call it twice within the same script, I get the error "can not identify image" although the same FileUpload instance is passed. My (dummy-)script looks something like this: # call the ext. method 'resize' one or more times x=1 # does not work for x >1 image=context.REQUEST.image # passed from a html-form for i in range(0,x): foo = context.resize(image, size=size) the external method 'resize' looks like this: def resize(self, image, size=200, resample='ANTIALIAS'): from PIL import Image image=Image.open(image) [...] I have no idea what the problem could be or where to look. Any advice would be a greate help. Regards Chris

Uninstall a zope built from source

Hello, Some time ago, I built zope from the sources and it worked well. Now I prefer the way Debian easily offers instances and an init.d script. I would like to uninstall the Zope from the source bt I can't find a target for make to do an uninstall. I have a googled for a while without success. I have few folders named zope in the /usr/local, /var/lib and i am not always sure they belongs to the source install or the debian version. * Does anyone knows about a uninstall script? * If I have to do it by hand, where can I find docs that tells what to remove? (the install python script is long) How to be sure everything is gone? Have a good day,

zope server versions and Zopetime() function.

Hello all, I was testing zopetime() function on 2 diffrent versions of zope servers, both running on different linux machines and i was getting 2 diffrent results: <dtml-var expr="ZopeTime().toZone('GMT+1').strftime('%d%m%Y %H:%M:%S - %Z')"> On (Zope 2.6.1 (binary release, python 2.1, linux2-x86), python 2.1.3, linux2) the result was : 28052005 12:15:11 - PST which the correct time in GMT+1 While on (Zope 2.7.6-final, python 2.3.5, linux2) the same code was showing : 28052005 03:56:07 - PDT This is not the correct time in GMT+1, but the current time on the server. Finding an object in a folder

Here is the problem. I want to use a form to upload a file (with a specific name) but first I want to check if another file with the same name already exist in that folder. "brk" allows to add and release space at the *end* of the address space. You cannot release such space unless a complete range is free at the very end! strftime and timezone

My zope application accesses a Postgres table with a timestamp field 'create_date' through ZPsycopgDA and I want to use strftime to format the date the way I like. However, I find that strftime returns a value that is not the same time as the original one, very likely due to some behind-scene timezone adjustment, which I don't understand and don't know how to control. The following PythonScript code is an illustration of my problem: msg=context.get_some_message t=msgs.create_date print t print t.strftime('%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S') return printed When called, the script returns: 2005/03/09 03:36:45 US/Central 2005-03-09 17:36:45 The question is, where does the 'create_date' object get the timezone information for the formatting, and how to achieve my desired output, that is '2005-03-09 03:36:45'? By the way, 'create_date' doesn't seem to be a Zope DateTime object, for when I tested with: t=DateTime() print t print t.strftime('%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S') The two prints give the same time value. For your information, in my ZPsycopgDA property, I have choosen the option: 'Use Zope's internal DateTime module (instead of mxDateTime)'. My zope version: 2.7.4 under Linux. Thanks for your help.
