LocalFS problems with @import-ing stylesheets

Hi We've just upgraded to using LocalFS (LocalFS-1-3-andreas for the large file support) with Zope 2.7.2, and have been experiencing problems with accessing stylesheets via the @import command from within a LocalFS folder. eg: <style type="text/css" media="screen">  </style> where /site is the LocalFS folder. The problem only manifests itself using Mozilla browsers (Mozilla, Firefox, etc), and when using these browsers stylesheets are successfully requested (according to the Apache access logs) but are ignored within the page. The stylesheet validates, and works as expected if moved inline within the page, or when created as a Zope File object, rather than within LocalFS. This all worked fine on the previous versions of LocalFS we were using (1.1.0) with Zope 2.6.4. Any ideas if this is a Zope or a LocalFS thing? Aquisition, UserFolder and security

Hello hi I have a little problem with aquisition and security. We have a project using multiple CPS instances (for those that don't know CPS, it's a CMF based groupware/CMS) running in the same Zope instance, and being siblings of each others [1]. One of these instances is the main entry point for the portal (I'll all it the 'portal'), the others are acting as workspaces for dedicated communities (I'll call them CPMs). Each CPS instance has its own UserFolder. All users exists in the portal's UserFolder, but only exists in some CPMs UserFolders. Now the problem is that, due to acquisition, a member existing in the Portal but not in a given CPM can gain access to this CPM by faking the url - ie: going to mydomain.tld/portal/cpm instead of mydomain.tld/cpm. So we have a potential (err...) security hole here, that I would like to address ASAP. We've been thinking of using apache's rewrite rules, but since the customer will have the possibilitie to create new CPMs at will, this won't do. Idem for using subdomains, or anything implying the modification of apache conf. So we must fix the problem inside Zope itself. I searched the doc, this list's archive and the source code, and it seems that possible solutions involve playing with __bobo_traverse__ or __before_publishing_traverse__, but my (very naive) try didn't make it, so I'd really enjoy any hint and/or pointers about howtos, do's and don't, or any other resource concerning these hooks. Another thing I've been thinking of, reading BasicUserFolder's source, would be to subclass it and redefine the _isTop() method so users wouldn't been looked up for in a UserFolder placed in the context by acquisition, but I don't know enough about the whole mechanism to be sure it would'nt have unwanted side-effects and drawbacks. It's also very possible that I missed another simpler and better solution, so here again, any hint, pointer etc is *very* welcome. TIA [1] don't tell me, I know this is far from the best possible architecture, but that's the only one that we could think of that would let us meet the deadline. I'm running Plone 2.0.5 with Zope 2.7.7-final and tried to upgrade to Plone 2.1. Problem with hasattr() and Zope 2.8.1

Hello, I'm using new-style classes and properties to implement multilingual support in my objects. I might therefore have something like: mything = property(__get_mything) def __get_mything: return self.__mything_en (Extremely simplified!) This works fine. Now however I'm discovering that doing a hasattr() on anything that starts with 2 underscores always returns false! So hasattr(self, '__thumbnail') doesn't work as expected, but hasattr(self, '_thumbnail') DOES! (All other things being equal of course). I've successfully tested this by replacing this code, which didn't work as expected: def __get_thumbnail(self): if not hasattr(self, '__thumbnail'): self.setThumbnail() return self.__thumbnail else: return self.__thumbnail With this one: def __get_thumbnail(self): try: return self.__thumbnail except: self.setThumbnail() return self.__thumbnail Which DID work as expected (Though I suspect the try ... except might be faster anyways!) ... External Method Working Directory?

Folks, I have an external method that at this point is made up of nothing but os.getcwd() and lives in my Extensions directory. When it is run, it reports the working directory as being one of my Products directories. Can anyone tell me what the default working directory for an external method is? Further, I need this to create a file temporarily in Extensions. I would prefer not to have to hardwire the location of Extension into the code, since that would make the script non-portable to other instances easily. Any advice on this would be appreciated. J. P. how to send a mail attachment with python (ZPT) ?

I want to send values from a form by mail but I want to make this values a file and then send that file as an attachment. 1.How can I make the values of the form to a file (maybe text file) ? 2.If I make that file how can I send it by mail as an attachment ? cut&paste from one mounted storage to another

Hi! Is there a possibility to cut&paste from one mounted storage to another? I have a filestorage Data.fs mounted as / and another filestorage Archive.fsmounted at /site/Archive. emergency access problems

Hi I appear to be having difficulty logging into the ZMI using the password created on install. I did change some settings to my root login using the Samplex member product etc but didn't change the password, login etc. Anyway I've followed all the instructions in security.txt, telnetting in as the user that made the zopeinstance and running python zpasswd.py access using SHA-1 and then entering nothing for domains ( I presumed that this would give access for all domains etc) I then get an access denied message on running this and the access file is not created. Any help would be appreciated. I guess I can always create a new zope instance and delete the old one?

ZEO clients eating up / filesystem

Hi, We have a ZEO setup with a Plone based intranet, and for some reason it seems that Zope is filling up space in the root filesystem. I have to restart Zope twice a day to clear it up (restarting Zope clears up the space). lsof does not list anything open in the root filesystem and swapping is done in the swap partition. Has anyone observed the same and found a solution?
