Weird hangs on zope/plone.

Hi, i recently installed a plone site, but its acting weird! All start 2 weeks ago when i set this new site in production, on wednesday, and in thursday at beggining of the morning the instance just stop response. I restart the service, reboot the system and nothing bring back the instance, but suddenly back to normal. This happen on friday too, i find something about the livesearch_reply (some stuff from plone) that maybe its the cause of the problem, i "fix it" and the problem dont ocurr on weekend, but the same thing happened on monday, tuesday and wednesday again! I set the number of threads: zserver-threads 25 I set: pool-size 27 on <zodb_db main> and the problem was gone from last wednesday untill today, this morning the problem back, i search my entire logs for something that could help but i cant find nothing... The weirdest thing is yesterday i setup a second machine, with identical OS and zope/python version, and run the same site, for change machine purpose, but this morning both of machine was lock, i cant access zope in any of them. I look for any kind of cron job or something like that on operating system (RHEL 5) and didn't find nothing. Anyone have any idea where is the problem? Theres something like cron jobs inside zope/plone itself? How can i run some kind of debug on zope (debug-mode on dont log anything more) to check this next time happen? Thanks for the attention. cas for zope and plone

I am interesting in integrating cas into my zope and plone sites. I am assuming that cas authentication works fine when zope is proxied behind apache. I thought I better verify that it did though before going to much farther. Is cas for zope working? Does it work when zope is proxied by apache? Dear All, I want to store the object Last Modified in ZCatalog so i created a FieldIndex with name bobobase_modified_time. When i checked the Zcatalog the space for bobbase_modified_time is empty. Thx kamal.

Epoz Document: Inconsistence behavior

Dear All, I using Epoz Document to store my article contents, and sometimes it will work and at another time it will not work. Although i have added 2 more fields (author and summary) to the manage_editForm, but I do not want to believe that this is what is causing this problem. I was wondering why will it work at a point and fail at another point. Below is the error I was getting when it failed. Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. getting the contents of a zope file object

Hi, I have a folder which contains text/html files. I use a dtml method on a file to display a file's contents using <dtml-var "this()">. It works great. So the user's browser is here: http://domain.com/folderA/file04/dtml_method What I need is a way to get the contents of file01, file02 & file03 while the user remains at the above url. I've been trying to do this via an [internal] python script. Within the dtml_method script i call the python script -passing it the name of the folder (folderA) and the name of the current file (file04). I use the folderA to create a folderObject (not shown) which I use to access and iterate through the files therein (line 1). Then I check to make sure the current file is not file04 (line 2). Then I append some file-specific properties to a list (used to create links and descriptions) (lines 3-5). I would also like to append the file contents or a portion of the file contents in string form (line 6) but what i have tried has not worked. line 1: for obj in folderObj.objectValues('File'): line 2: if obj.fileName != file04: line 3: r.append([obj.fileName, obj.location]) line 4: r.append([obj.fileName, obj.date]) line 5: r.append([obj.fileName, obj.creator]) line 6: r.append([obj.fileName, obj.??????]) Thoughts? thanks, justin _________________________________________________________________ More photos; more messages; more whatever. Online groups, social networking via Zope

Our organization uses a great Zope-based tool called GroupServer - http://groupserver.org For us, it is the open source YahooGroups/GoogleGroups killer you can run on your own domain, with your own privacy policy, and without the ads. Our online groups focused on public issues in local communities (ten across Minnesota, England, and New Zealand currently - http://forums.e-democracy.org ) and we are looking to connect with Zope-developers who have an interest in social networking/online communities. From time to time we receive small grants that allow us to fund a feature enhancements, but at this point we are looking for people passionate about Zope and local community participation to help advise us on our use of technology and perhaps answer a Zope-related question from time to time.
