Escaping parens for ZCTextIndex?

Hi List, I have a full text index, created using a custom splitter, that contains words with parens inside e.g. "3(u@c)" (n.b. it's from cuneiform tablets). Now I want to search for these words in the index but I am unable to get the parens in the query to get past the QueryParser which flags the expression as an error. Is there a way to do either escape the parens or bypass the QueryParser? Thanks Robert

Groupmember in ATWorkgroups

I'm using ATWorkgroups for Plone 2.5.3. It works fine but I've the problem that a part of the members of the workgroup will not be listed inside the portlet of the workgroup members. I think that the reason of this behavour is that a member must have a member folder for being listed. But a great number of members of my plone site are without a member folder. How can I change the behaviour that all members of a workgoup will be listed? Thanks. configure.zcml missing

I originally sent this to the plone-users list but nobody replied and it seems to be more of a zope-level problem anyway: I am trying to upgrade my instance from Plone 2.5.2 to 3.0.3 and I am having trouble. Been trying to do this upgrade off and on for the last two weeks. I have tried many things but if I just follow the instructions in the UPGRADE.txt file I am told to install the new plone, copy my Data.fs into it, start the instance, and then run the portal migration. So I do all of that and get <broken weblog> because I did not have my products (specifically Quills) installed in the new instance and the quills blog is my main page. So I shut down the instance, copied in Quills and its dependencies, started the instance, and went to view my site. This is what I saw: http://www.pastebin.ca/778070 I notice that the first thing in that mess of an error page says "No traversable adapter found". I googled for this and found: http://groups.google.com/group/plone-users/browse_thread/thread/3ccc6e55db2… I downloaded my Plone 3.0.3 from plone.org in the form of the Unified Installer. It installed my plone, zope, python, etc. I checked and setup tools are included. So that shouldn't be the problem in my case. Then I found this: http://www.nabble.com/Buildout-problem-t4650763s20094.html So I started zope in the foreground and encountered this error: http://www.pastebin.ca/778107 Which seems to ultimately say that it couldn't find /opt/Plone-3.0.3/lib/python/zope/app/annotation/configure.zcml And sure enough it doesn't exist. I'm not sure where to go from here. I have tried this install many different times in many ways on two different machines (CentOS 5 and Fedora 6) and haven't had much success. Any tips on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated! How to use Zope2 products in Zope3 ?

Hello I have some Zope2 products I want to use in Zope3. First up these: -- LocalFS -- ZopeShortcut -- SWFFile Confused by changes... I can't find any 'Products' or 'Import' folders in my Zope3 instance... Does this mean all those good products have to be rewritten using some new super-complexificated Zope3 syntax? I hope not. What am I missing please..? Thanks for any advice Jason

five browser:defaultView and webdav question

Hi I have an folder like object inherited from zope2 folder with some five additions (interfaces, views). Webdav support for this object works until I give it default view. I do it as follows: <browser:defaultView for=".interfaces.IDocumentGroup" name="view.html" > Then webdav support inherited from Folder breaks. How can I define this default view only for browser and not for webdav access? -- pozdrawiam Piotr Chamera

I am a newbie to Zope and am evaluating it for a project but I am having a basic problem getting it to work properly. Any hints or advice would be helpful. I have searched online for similar problems to no avail. I have installed on a windows platform here are the specifics: Zope Version (Zope 2.10.5-final, python 2.4.4, win32) Python Version 2.4.4 (#71, Oct 18 2006, 08:34:43) [MSC v.1310 32 bit (Intel)] System Platform win32 SOFTWARE_HOME C:\Zope\2.10.5\Zope\lib\python ZOPE_HOME C:\Zope\2.10.5\Zope INSTANCE_HOME C:\Zope\Instance\2.10.5 CLIENT_HOME C:\Zope\Instance\2.10.5\var Network Services ZServer.HTTPServer.zhttp_server (Port: 8080) Although the ZMI works, I login with no errors, Products and/or Objects that should be accessed from a can URL can't : - i.e. Zoo Object Folder created per the Zope Book 2.6 ( http://localhost:8080/Zoo ) - I get the following error You have not created any users in this Zope instance. In order to log in and manage this Zope instance, you'll need to add an adminstrative user account. If you're running Zope on UNIX or Linux, you can create an administrative user account via the "zopectl adduser" command from a shell. *Note: You'll need to shut Zope itself down before "zopectl adduser" will work.
