I have a site, in a folder called 'kb' you access it via http://webserver/kb it has a knowledge base. Inside this, is the index_html and I have some search pages... ---F_problemsearch--- * a form for searching. Everything works as expected. However, now I want to add another level. example: http://webserver/kb/review and I want to change only the index_html, and search pages (so someone can review articles after they are submitted). I copied the search pages listed above in the new 'review' folder. I changed the text of the button in "problemsearch" above to "review" instead of "view. When I try it out, I go to http://webserver/kb/review. I type in my search, click "simple" and the URL changes to this: http://webserver/kb/ProcessSearch?problem=new&st=Simple I'd like it to use the files in '/kb/review' before using the files in /kb and I thought that's what acquisition did (index_html behaves this way!) however, it's not doing it correctly. The only way I can get it to properly work is by changing the URL to this: http://webserver/kb/review/ (adding a trailing slash). This website is used internally by users who will be manually typing the URL. Is there some way I can get http://webserver/kb/review to work as well as http://webserver/kb/review/ ? -- Thanks, Derek Wilson

Hi all! I've developed a site that if you are not logged in renders in a way but if you are logged in renders in another way (with more functionality) I would like to create a logon form and the validate the user in an AJAX way Where can I read about it? Or where the acl_users code is located? Good morning! My web site utilizes forms pretty extensively, and I've been trying to figure out how--on one particular form, an admission application--to bcc all copies to another address. Depending on which campus the applicant chooses, the app is emailed to a different person; the program director wants to receive ALL the apps, without the other recipients knowing. But I just can't seem to make it work. Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that I'm not a programmer, which is why I'm asking for help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Hello, after importing a product from zope 2.6.4 to a 2.10.3 instance, trying to open the product produces quite a lot of errors in my event.log, and a traceback in the zope management interface. I found a lot of mails regarding plone upgrades which report a similar RuntimeError. I am trying to use html2pdf and htmldoc to generate pdfs on the fly. I can get it to work perfectly if I set all view permissions for anonymous. However, this is not suitable for a member only site. Can anyone point me in the right direction for such use? I am using: (Zope 2.9.0, python 2.4.2, win32) and latest version of html2pdf. Regards Garry

Hi We have a requirement to export the content objects of a large plone based intranet site out to a windows filesystem. This would be carried out on a once a week basis in addition to daily back up of the ZODB. Management need to know that all their digital assets are available from outside the ZODB incase of disaster or for any future migration purposes (Hopefully not required!) I got a tip off about Tres Seaver's fsdump product and have been trying it out on Plone 2.5.3 and Zope 2.9.7 Followed all the readmes and instructions. Created a dumper object and performed a site dump. I'm only getting .metadata and reference_catalog.catalog, uid_catalog etc files coming out. The site has published folders and files/images etc. I've tried creating a /home folder with only images and files underneath that and a dump only results in .metadata from there. Had a look at the code and it looks like it is set-up to dump folders and files/images etc. Probably missing something. Any comment appreciated. Thanks -- michael

Where is zope.app.workflow now?

Hi, I am reading the chapter on workflow in Stephan's Zope3 developers' handbook and would like to try the samples. However the server wouldn't start due to the missing zope.app.workflow package. This package seems no longer existing in the latest stable release of zope3. What happened to the package?
