Why do you want to recode into DTML? I think that is piece of good code and much faster than DTML. read-only-database

I upgraded my Zope server to 2.11.0 from 2.8.7. To do that I needed to update the above 3 products. I am not sure of the process to get the products updated so others can use them. Any guidance is appreciated. -- Jeffrey D Peterson Webmaster Crary Industries, Inc.

i need to catch an exception in a HTML page and need to pass the contol an another page in the container object. please suggest me how to do it... thankyou. hi, I am thinking of using tal:on-error to catch an exception and traverse to a default pagetemplate. could some one please help me regarding the code .... please clarify if the following statement is valid. <div> tal:on-error="" <p><a href="error" tal:attributes="href python: container.error.absolute_url()"></a></p></div> i believe the above is the wrong form of implementation. I actually need to traverse to "container.error.absolute_url()". please could some one give me the details regarding how to traverse the the following url if the error has occured in a block of code... kindly reply... .

PHParser/PHPGateway product error: "cannot open the destination file"

This is in reference to the PHParser/PHPGateway product, Version 1.1.5. The PHParser/PHPGateway systgem looks to be a very useful product. I want to use it to bridge to a PHP implemented subsystem rather than either translate the subsystem or run the subsystem as a separate package with all the problems of handing off authentication, etc. The latest version I could find is PHParser/Gateway 1.1.15. I am using Zope 2.9.X under Linux with Python 2.4. The Linux version is x86_64 version of Centos 4.X, which is an RPM clone of RedHat. I am using the system provided version of php, which I believe is the correct CGI enabled version, and have reviewed the php.ini for it, but have made no changes as changes did not seem to be necessary. I can execute independent PHP scripts using PHParser, but I have not been able to make PHPGateway work. I set the document root directory, /opt/phpgate, in the create dialog. There is an index.php file in the /opt/phpgate which, when executed, produces "Hello World". When I view the PHPGateway object, I get the diagnostic: PHPGateway cannot open the destination file. The print trace (commented out in the product) produces: PHPGATEWAY: self.__realname__ set to manage_interfaces PHPGATEWAY: self.__realname__ set to manage_interfaces PHPGATEWAY: docroot /opt/phpgate PHPGATEWAY: pathsegs value: ['manage_interfaces'] PHPGATEWAY: Opening PHP script: /opt/phpgate/manage_interfaces PHPGATEWAY: Requested for /draPlay/phpgate PHPGATEWAY: Printing error page for: /opt/phpgate/manage_interfaces Several other people have reported a similar problem with PHPGateway, but I have been unable to find anyone reporting a fix. Any pointers or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am using Zope 2.9 connected to a Posgres DB via psycopg. My database encoding is UTF8. I am getting the following error when users try to insert text in the database containing £ signs: ERROR: invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8": 0xa3 This is due to the encoding of a £ sign in the text being sent to the DB. My question then is how do I make sure that all encodings submiitted from forms are in the correct UTF8 format? Regards Garry

Opening uploaded file

hi, I have an uploaded file in home folder.i have a page which has an internal link to that file.But when i click the link a dialogue box is opened saying this is ASC file what you want firefox to do with this file.two options open,save is there.. But I need to display it in my page when user click the link.what can i do to open the file automatically..i had changed the content type of file to text/plain..
