Background The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is the focus of the political process to address Climate Change. The Convention secretariat supports the Convention and its Kyoto Protocol by a range of activities, including substantive and organizational support to meetings of the Parties.The Information Technology Services programme is a central service provider for information and communication technology infrastructure and user support services, as well as for information systems development, maintenance and application support within the UNFCCC. Functions to be performed Under general supervision of the Manager, ISD Subprogramme (P5, ITS) and direct supervision of the Information Systems Officer (ITS/ISD) the incumbent will contribute to the end-to-end development and maintenance of new and existing UNFCCC information systems. In particular, the Software Developer shall: · Analyze existing system structure and design; · Design software solutions for agreed requirements, and in accordance with documented architectures; · Code, unit test and system test the assigned tasks according to the above-mentioned specification; · Track own work in tracking software, report regularly on progress and receive advice and guidance; · Document design and implementation, participate in internal technical workshops and code reviews; · Prepare technical documentation for deployed computer application systems; · Perform all work in accordance with priorities, processes, quality standards, code style guides and tooling agreed with the Information Systems Officer; · Perform other duties as assigned. Outputs: The Software Developer shell deliver the following list of products for Capacity Building Portal and Finance Portal projects: · Data relationship definitions; · Data migration scripts; · On page content editor; · Search engine; · Publication workflow; · User management interface; · Submission forms. Requirements: · First level university degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics or statistics; · At least three years of professional experience in the planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of computer information systems and related areas; · Solid knowledge of RDBMS, in particular MySQL; · Excellent knowledge of ORM, knowledge of SQLAlchemy a major asset; · Solid knowledge of Python, knowledge and experience working with Zope 2 an asset; · Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and JQuery UI with particular focus on creation of AJAX-driven user interface; · Knowledge of test driven development is an asset; · Understanding of application layer, separation of code, data and presentation; · Ability to produce clean and maintainable code; · Fluent written and spoken English, knowledge of other UN languages is plus. Setting Timezone on Zope2.13.20 in virtualenv

Hello! I just installed the latest zope version 2.13.20 using virtualenv. I would like to be able to set the timezone to Europe/Rome. So far, I try this in instance/etc/zope.conf: <environment> TZ "Europe/Rome" </environment> But I didn't have any success. Do you have any hint? Thanks for your help, Giampiero

When last I checked there is no blue bream release available. There is a nice ztfy release available. It has documentation for the installation. It has a nice ZMI. Thierry, when he is not on summer vacation, provides great support. It has quite a mature wiki. wiki.ztfy.org And so we thought it is a great starting point for zope 3/bluebream development. The problem is it is not installing. buildout calls z3c.recipe.testrunner which dies. That was on Tamer's computer. I had different problems with it. I guess we will dig in and debug it, but it goes against the grain. It would be so nice to just use it, without having to learn the details of how it is implemented. Actually it is now clear to me what to do. Read the docs on zc.buildout and distribute on pypi. Then read the docs in the source code. Then add them to the list of link to docs at zopache.com/Products and ZTFY.org/Products Once we understand the details of what those packages do, it should be much easier to figure out how to debug the problem. installation problems with ztfy.webapp on fresh baked gentoo!

Hi peeople! I am trying to install zope3 /ztfy webapp, and I face quickly a problem by running "python bootstrap.py" after application setup. Here the problem: README.txt bootstrap.py buildout.cfg debug.ini deploy.ini etc extends-cache setup.py src var tamer@tux /storage/PyProjects/ztfyAPP $ python bootstrap.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "bootstrap.py", line 111, in <module> ws.find(pkg_resources.Requirement.parse(requirement)).location AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'location' what could it be?! I already spoke with somebody who had the same problem. He installed "zc.builout" globally, and it was solved for him but not me. My problem still exist even after installing through easy_install zc.buildout globally. Any ideas what it could be?! For any help I would kindly thank you Tamer
