Structured Text: avoid <p> around html-tags
by Elena Schulz 29 Jan '03

29 Jan '03

Hi, html-tags are allowed in structured text. But they are wrapped with <p>-tags too, which results in non-standard html. How can I prevent that. i.e. list and table elements, that are generated by structured text are not wrapped in <p>'s. (zope 2.6.0) I need to wrap some text in a <div>-box. -- many thanks for your replies, Elena

If you don't, it's in my TODO list for the project. > And here is the case to mention our NuxDocument patch. The probleme is when wvWare produces output in UTF-8 that gets included in a Latin-1 interface, and in that case, the sensible thing to do is to convert everything to a common encoding. As you are aware, some work is needed to support non-latin-1 interface. Feel free to write a patch that would permit the component user to choose between UTF-8 or Latin-1 (or even other encodings) using the web interface. > What maillist is correct place for discussion of NuxDocument? It's in the README: "Send bug reports or comments to -> sf(a)nuxeo.com". You can also use the cps-users list (http://www.nuxeo.com/cps/mailman/listinfo/cps-users) since NuxDocument is now a part of the CPS framework. S.

Thanks Hans... It's nearly what I want...except the report will still be visible on the previous menu - I guess the user would be able to click on it, but they would be redirected to another page. It's a bit dirty - I wish there was a better option! I'll keep fiddling :) P -----Original Message----- From: H.de.Wit(a)SFK.NL [mailto:H.de.Wit@SFK.NL] Sent: Tuesday, 28 January 2003 7:56 PM To: Peter Skipworth; zope(a)zope.org Subject: Re: [Zope] Security question... It is a little cheap, but this should work: You can exclude the two users (it is 1 report, isn't?) by adding a call to a pythonscript to your report. content of the pythonscript something like this: from AccessControl import getSecurityManager user = getSecurityManager().getUser() if user=="George" or name=="Saddam": target='www.friendsforever.org' RESPONSE.redirect(target) return # i don't know why, but this return seems to be necessary. Zope Products without Sources
by Marc Roland 28 Jan '03

28 Jan '03

Hello, on the filesystem we see files ending with .py and with .pyc - what's happening inside the ZODB? If I want to sell a Zope Product, can I savely delete all sources (.py)? How to shut the backdoor inside the ZODB? Can we somehow remove the ZMI (the sources or better all the functionality of the Zope Management Interface)? -- Best Regards, Marc Roland AICAT CA Technologies GmbH Dipl.-Ing.(FH) System Consultant Friedrich-Karl-Str. 101-103 Fon:+49/(0)221/971445-0 Fax:-5 Germany-50735 Koeln (Niehl)

Vincent, go to: http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope/ 1. scroll down to the bottom of the page. 2. enter your email address into "Edit Options" text box 3. Then, select "On" for Disable mail delivery option. Turn this to "Off" if you want to receive mail again. This way you don't need to resubscribe when you come back. Exporting / Directory or highest Directory a User has access to
by Raphael Arlitt 28 Jan '03

Hi, how can a User export his/her root directory in zope? I only get managed to export subfolders but not the Users root directory. Would be nice, so the user is responsible for his own backup and can reinstall it (in a subfolder) if problems occure. Raphael

Not really the ideal solution, but workable. The images are not generated dynamically so a static conversion to, say, a jpg will do the job. I should be able to write a Python script to do the conversions off-line using the Macromedia standalone player.

Comments to Zope Book

I had to turn off anonymous commenting on the 2.5 edition of the Zope Book because some moron is flooding the book with comments that are song lyrics. People will now need to log in to comment. Tragedy of the commons, I suppose. -- Chris McDonough <chrism(a)zope.com> Zope Corporation

swf to jpg conversions under Zope
by Dennis Allison 28 Jan '03

I need to construct some pdf documents under Zope that incorporate Macromedia Flash *.swf files (static images). The HTML->pdf programs I have seen don't grok *.swf files so a conversion step is needed. Can anyone point me to a server-side swp->jpg (or other format) converter suitable for use under Linux and Zope?
