by Terry 07 Jan '02

07 Jan '02

Dear friends on this list, This question probably had been anwsered. But I just search the archie. I add a Ldaplogin Adapter on a folder under my root folder. Then I try to use the ldap to check the user login. When I login the the subfolder. The Zope ask me the password the check with ldap server then ask me again the password again to match the acl_users under root folder. I have no idea. Thanks a lot, Have a nice day Terry

Hi, you can only install CMF Tools inside a CMF Site. Greetings, Antwan. At 10:36 7-1-02 -0500, you wrote: >Hello, > >I have gone to cmf.zope.org to download CMF 1.1 (proper, not beta). Installing CMF 1.1

Hello, I have gone to cmf.zope.org to download CMF 1.1 (proper, not beta). I am installing according to the instructions given there, but can't get past adding the portal_metadata tool. I can add it, but when I go to configure the "Elements" tab, I get the following error: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. ZSyncer is fine for its purpose: syncing development-production architectures. There even exists a bidirectional version of it (see previous ZSyncer postings). Maybe ZSyncer is a good starting point with XML-RPC as the protocol of choice. For groupware purpose, i.e. bidirectional non-hierachical database syncing, i think there would be some kind of versioning useful. Imagine a different update of a document one the server and a copy of it on an offline client - how to get client and server in an equal state afterwards. I'm sure there are some additionally pitfalls. discussion recommended/desired. Andreas Hoelzl

Relative URLs
by Tim Owen 07 Jan '02

Hi Folks, Quick remedial question. How do I get folder names removed from a URL after calling an object lower in the folder tree? Example: folder1 folder2 A folder1 object calls folder2 object using href like folder2/object then folder2 object calls folder1 object by name (using href with no path since it is higher in the folder tree). The URL does this: folder1/object folder1/folder2/object folder1/folder2/folder1/object I would like this to happen: folder1/object folder1/folder2/object folder1/object Thanks in advance. ___________________ Tim Owen Cell: 517.285.7071 Home: 989.224.4905 eFax: 425.940.5905

RE: [Exuserfolder-users] How do I uninstall exuser
by Brett Haydon 07 Jan '02

07 Jan '02

Uninstalling didn't fix the problem... I'm using Zope 2.5 Beta 3 (windows 2k). I removed the product (and the exuser folder I had created) but the permission options in the security tab remained. The folder that had held the exuser folder was totally inaccessible. The only way to get back into the folder was to reinstall XUF. I eventually worked out that by creating a new folder and copying the entire contents of the old folder across was the only way to remove the apparent dependency on XUF. Once that was done I deleted the old folder which had held originally contained the exuser folder, and the permission option for exuser disappeared on all folders. _______________________________ Brett Haydon > -----Original Message----- > From: Andrew Kenneth Milton > [mailto:akm@theinternet.com.au] > Sent: Wednesday, 2 January 2002 12:13 PM > To: Brett Haydon > Cc: exuserfolder-users(a)lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: Re: [Exuserfolder-users] How do I > uninstall exuser > > > +-------[ Brett Haydon ]---------------------- > | I can't seem to uninstall exuserfolder... > | > | How do I remove a permission to add an > exuserfolder from the > | permission listing on my folder and thus remove it's > | dependeny on exuser. > > That permission will be there as long as > exuserfolder is installed as a > product. > > -- > Totally Holistic Enterprises Internet| > | Andrew Milton > The Internet (Aust) Pty Ltd | > | > ACN: 082 081 472 ABN: 83 082 081 472 | M:+61 416 > 022 411 | Carpe Daemon > PO Box 837 Indooroopilly QLD 4068 > |akm(a)theinternet.com.au|
