Strange Log Entries...

Hi; My HTTP requests are passed through a Pound reverse proxy to Zope instances. I can hit all clients' sites fine, but some people can't. I'm getting the following entries in my Zope log which seem to detail the problem at hand: NotFound: http://www.mrtablecloth-vi.com/verify-LAC_Compliance NotFound: http://www.mrtablecloth-vi.com/notified-LAC_Compliance These "pages" are not part of the Web site. What is "LAC_Compliance"? A Google turned up zero. NotFound: http://www.livestocksling.com/1024 [ /eng/Swine-All_Products_frame ] This is indeed a page, but notice the brackets. UnicodeDecodeError

Hi all, Due to project demands I had to convert the html entities in all TEXT fields in my database to the real international characters like "á", "ç" and so on. The problem is that all my dynamic generated XML started to fail with UnicodeDecodeError. The XML encoding is set to utf-8 and the file itself is correctly encoded. If I inject the international characters using a Python Script with something like u'çáé' it works, but passing the TEXT field from the database generates the error. I'm using Zope 2.9.2 and MySQL. The XML is generated using ZPT. The XML, invokes a script to filter and add links to the text retrieved from the database, ex: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?> ... xml stuff ... <txt tal:content="structure python:container.scripts.montarCDATA (texto=obra.Conteudo, links=obra.links)"></txt> <rdp tal:content="structure python:container.scripts.montarCDATA (texto=obra.Rodape)"></rdp> ... xml stuff ... obra is the database row and Conteudo is the TEXT field. montarCDATA is as simple as (I removed the code to build the links): return '<![CDATA[%s]]>' % texto if instead of the TEXT field I put something like: return '<![CDATA[%s]]>' % u'çáéà' it works, which leads me to believe the problem is with the database field and XML. The strange thing is that with common html everything works as expected. cannot paste objects

Hi A strange one here so any help appreciated. I have installed Zope 2.9.4-final, python 2.4.3 onto a linux box and i can not paste any objects within the ZMI. I can copy an item however the paste button never appears. zope 3 psycopda

I am trying to install psycopda for zope 3 by following the instructions in the readme file with the svn checkout of this product and I get the following error when starting Zope. I have tried searching for rdb module but have not found anything of use. I am using Zope 3 as installed by Ubuntu. Zope is *not* PHP nor ASP not ..., it's an object-oriented application server used to PUBLISH objects on the web. Trying to setup LDAP

I am trying to setup my plone to authenticate with LDAP but I am unable to get it to show up under my products in zmi. "Pausing" ZCatalog and re-indexing later

Hi :-) The system I am working on is using a ZCatalog with some indexes (over 10) for faster searching. Unfortunatelly there are some use cases, where I have to add really many new objects to ZODB. It works, but very slowly. I suspect that this is because when I add an object to Folder (with _setObject) it gets indexed - couple thousands of objects multiplied by over 10 indexes = looooong. Am I guessing right or am I completely lost? ;-) If this is the probable reason - is there some way I could disable indexing temporarily and after adding all of the objects make it re-index the new ones? I think that even a full re-index would work faster than it works now... I would be very grateful for any suggestions. Best regards, Maciek

ZCTextIndex and word position

Hi, I am using a ZCTextIndex to index and search text files. I use a search form to retrieve the objects that match a search. I would like to know if it is possible to retrieve more details about the search, in particular the line numbers (or the word position in the file) where a match has been found in a particular file? no accounts in root user folder?

Hello, I have a zope app in a folder and have an exUserFolder in there to authenticate the app's users. The app is working fine and i get authenticated by the exUserFolder and everything works. I tried to delete the single "admin" account (with Manager privileges) from the root standard user folder and the app breaks with: Unauthorized: You are not allowed to access 'call_backend' in this context where 'call_backend' is an External Method called by a Python Script. All objects in zope are owned by the "admin". Could this be causing the problem? Thnx for any help, Vangelis
