That means that it is not returning anything or an empty string (''). Try doing a pdftotext on the file in the shell, and see what it returns. If that works, then let me know what versions of ExtFile and ExtDoc you have, and email me the pdf. Getting username of last editor
by Etienne Labuschagne 14 Sep '01

Hi there, How do I get the UserName of the last user that changed an object. I just want a simple: This page was last edited by xxxxx on yyyyy on my pages. The yyyy part is easy (bobobase_modifiction_time), but so far I had no luck in getting the last user. Looked at History.py and history.dtml until my head hurt and still none the wiser! Thanks Etienne

Zope Release 2.4.1 possible bug?
by Holger.Enderlin＠ivision-online.de 14 Sep '01

Hello there, is it possible that there is a little bug in Zope release 2.4.1? restrictedTraverse fails in some situations with the message: Error Type: NameError Error Value: global name 'has' is not defined For example it doesn't work at all with "absolute" paths like ("", "subdir", "somewhere")... Seams as there was a has=hasattr forgotten in the unrestrictedTraversable-Method in lib/python/OFS/traversable.py What to do? Regards, Holger

remote address
by Fritz Mesedilla 14 Sep '01

My setup right now has apache in front then zope. When I do a <dtml-var REMOTE_ADDR> it gives the address of the apache server. Is there a way to get the address of the visitor and not the apache server? Thanks. Fritz Mesedilla Systems Administrator Summit Interactive, Inc.
