exuser older not working in 2.9.0

HI, In a burst of enthusiasm, I trashed my zope 2.8 for windows and installed 2.9, with a new instance. I've reloaded ZStyleSheet and ZODBC, which have come up in the ZMI ok and exuserfolder, which doesn't. In 2.8, there were some minor issues with fcrypt which meant it came up with a broken box icon, initially. I've installed it in 2.9, fixed the issues and nothing comes up in the ZMI Running Zope in the console doesn't show any relevant messages. I'm at a loss as to how to debug this. Any help gratefully received. --john

I'm trying to catch when someone tries to create an object with the same Id as another object. I thought this was handled by checkValidId. It doesn't appear that this error is handled by standard_error_message. Whenever this error happens, the rror message is not skinned like the site I'm working on (ie. It's just some very basic html output). I am pleased to announce the release of TextIndexNG V 3.1.7. TextIndexNG V 3 is a complete new implementation based on Zope 3 technologies and can be used both in Zope 2.8 or in Zope 3. What's new? - multi-field indexing and query support - multi-lingual support - configurable converters (through ZCML) - new indexing API (allowing you to hook your custom content types with TextIndexNG through Zope 3 adapters). catching BadRequest exceptions

All, It seems that BadRequest exceptions, like the ones thrown by checkValidId() in OFS.ObjectManager (lib/python/OFS/ObjectManager.py), are not handled by a standard_error_message. That is, I can't skin the error message so it looks friendly and doesn't show a traceback. Does anyone know where the code that generates the error message for these exceptions is kept? Status of blobs and rdb plugged into ZODB

Hi. I have written a blob type product about a year or so ago and I remember at that time there was the promise of being able to plug different backends into the ZODB. This was to be one of the new features of ZODB that would allow some interesting things to occur. What is the status of this development. Are we there yet with ZODB 3.6 or is this still something that is not possible. It would be really great indeed if everthing was a proper object in the zodb with a choice of where it sits - whether in the zodb, filesystem or rdb. Regards, David
