I'm having trouble using the value of a property to determine which object to render (Zope 2.2.1, if it makes any difference). Starting from the beginning, let's say I have two folders A and B with four DTML methods (Nilo, Alpha, Smalpha, and Bravo): / Nilo /A Alpha Smalpha /B Bravo From Alpha, I can render Nilo, Smalpha, and Bravo by using this dtml: <dtml-var Nilo> (or <dtml-var "Nilo">) <dtml-var Smalpha> (or <dtml-var "Smalpha">) <dtml-var "B.Bravo"> (not <dtml-var B.Bravo>!) OK, now I want a property of folder A, call it 'choice', to determine what should be rendered by Alpha. So I rewrite Alpha to include: either <dtml-var "_[choice]"> or <dtml-var "_.getitem(choice)"> These work nicely if I set 'choice' to 'Nilo' or 'Smalpha' but I don't see how to make either one work for Bravo! Setting 'choice' to 'B.Bravo' gives me: Error Type: KeyError Error Value: B.Bravo How do I get this to work for Bravo (and still keep it working for the other cases)? DTML Loop, is there a 'continue'?

Hi Zope Fans, I'm about searched out trying to find any discussion about calling a normal "continue" statement, as in Python, from DTML. Any ideas? I just want to short circuit a dtml-in loop for one pass, and then finish the rest of the loop, based on a parameter. Thanks, Jerry S.

Problem solved. Somebody installed a new version of ZNolkWizard product, which I wasn't aware of. It looks like this new version gives some problems with Interbase. Q: Since ZNolkWizard merely creates pages, how come then, that when you import a piece of Zope into Zope which doesn't has ZNolkWizard, Zope complains about not having ZNolkWizard installed? Why does Zope still needs this reference to ZNolkWizard? ZNolkWizard created some stuff, but isn't there anymore. Tom.

Using ZPublisher separately

Hello! Can anyone give me an advice on how to use ZPublisher with CGI? We in Interenet department of our company developed publication (conent management) system based on Python CGIs, ZTemplates and MySQL. This is actually second system we've developed, and it is big step forward. But there is a problem - the system is a bit too generic. When I edit an object through the web the handler puts all data from a form into the object as strings, where I want integers, dates etc. I want to use ZPublisher's ability to convert name hints (<input name="visible:int">) into python types. String problem with structured text

Hi, I am having a number of problems in a Python product displaying a property 'description' as structured text. 'description' is: Test structured text Link to the "Zope website":http://www.zope.org - Dot point If I update 'description' from my manage_editForm (which does self.description = description), <dtml-var description fmt="structured-text"> gets rendered in HTML as: <p>Test structured text Link to the <a href="http://www.zope.org">Zope website</a> - Dot point</p> The hyperlink has been rendered properly but the heading and dot point haven't. If I update 'description' from the properties page of the management interface, <dtml-var description fmt="structured-text"> looks like: <h3>Test structured text</h3> <p> Link to the <a href="http://www.zope.org">Zope website</a></p> <ul><li><p>Dot point</p> </li></ul> which is exactly what it should be. Any ideas what is going on here? Background information: - Using a clean installation of Zope 2.2.0. - My Python product inherits from Folder and has properties 'title' and 'description'. Folderish DTML Document

Am I totally off my head or is it possible to make a Folderish DTML Document. I had a thread on zope-dev got no response. I know Chris Withers thinks every object is a folderish one, but Im talking about using PropertyManager, ObjectManager and DTMLMethod all on one object. How-to trap login error ?

Hello, Some pages of my zope project are protected by acl_users. I would like to redirect the wrong login to another page. How to do that ? Do I need another product ? I'm using Zope 2.1.6. It kind of make me feel better to know other people have observed the same problem. I found the following message in the mailing list by Pierre-Julien Grizel around 09/04/2000, with title: [Zope] Images slow rendering problem http://zope.nipltd.com/public/lists/zope-archive.nsf/242bb7cc2b2c343d802568… So, it does seem that Zope 2.1.6 has some problems handling multiple images. The problem seems to happen at least with Unix flavor OS (Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD,) and seems to be browser-independent (Netscape and IE alike). HTML Widgets, In-place editing in Zope

Hi All, We've been working on this for a few days now and I think its about time it was uncovered. If you try these two URLs in Mozilla or IE, you'll see what it does.
