format specifier for GET style arguments?

There's an html_quote and a url_quote, I'm interested in a specifier that will create a argument list for a link. If arg1 has 'this is a string/stuff' then: <dmtl-var arg1 ???_quote> will give: this+is+a+string%20stuff. TIA..

More questions about standard_error_message

A couple of questions about the behaviour of standard_error_message - I've asked one of these on this list before and didn't get a reply, so probably won't get a reply now, but I've been really scratching my head and sifting around through all the different Zope resources for an answer. It'd be much appreciated if anyone, particularly at DC, has any comments. First question is about getting standard_error_message to redirect. RESPONSE.redirect() calls don't work in standard_error_message, while they do in other contexts. The reason I'm doing this is to take a 404 error, look up the intended URL in a database table and transparently redirect to a new URL if one has been defined. Otherwise it displays a normal "not found" error. Is there any way of getting this redirection to happen? I'm also interested as to why it doesn't happen, since the DTML contents is presumably being parsed by Zope in the same way other documents are... but perhaps it isn't. The second question is about overriding the standard_error_message seen for a given folder. What I'd like to be able to have is: /standard_error_message foo/ standard_error_message bar/ baz/ Thus, errors occuring within foo/ use a different standard_error_message to those elsewhere. However, this doesn't appear to happen so I can only presume the standard_error_message called is always the one in the root. Is there any way around this other than to explicitly check the URL causing the error and take the appropriate action? Ditto goes for a property such as ErrorsTo containing, say, the e-mail address of someone to report errors to. If I have: /ErrorsTo = webmaster(a)foo.org foo/ bar/ ErrorsTo = bar-errors(a)foo.org baz/ ErrorsTo = errors(a)baz.com I'd like standard_error_message to acquire the appropriate ErrorsTo property, but unfortunately this doesn't happen and the ErrorsTo property will always be webmaster(a)foo.org for standard_error_message. I've rummaged through the docs on Zope.org, searched the mailing lists and even had a nose around the source without much luck. Anyone have information about standard_error_message? Anything learnt will be documented and put onto the Zope site, I've already made a start but these two topics are frustrating to solve. Thanks in advance. SQL Method parse error when using type=date

Please ignore my last post.. I had an error in line 4 type=nb where it should be type=date Yellow, When using this line in the Query template in an SQL Method: <dtml-sqlvar downloads.data type=date optional> I get the error: "Error: invalid type, date, for tag <dtml-sqlvar downloads.data type=date optional>, on line 6 of <string>" this type is documented as supported by Z SQL Methods but i get a parse error when I click "change". Using blobs with sql

Hi... I'm trying to insert binary images in a table on an SQL Server, but I don't seem to be able to pass the image through sql insert. Is there some special way I can quote such an object in orther to avoid errors? Zope 2.1.1 doesn't have a memory leak

Zopists, I use Zope 2.1.1 in a production environment where my ZODB is about 300MB. It gets up to about 1500MB by the end of the day. I have 25 people using it constantly 10 hours a day, everday, 6 days a week and I never shut it down. My Control Panel says this: Zope version: Zope 2.1.1 (binary release, python 1.5.2, linux2-x86) Python version: 1.5.2 (#10, Dec 6 1999, 12:16:27) [GCC 2.7.2.3] System Platform: linux2 Process ID: 5439 (8201) Running for: 23 days 15 hours 14 min 51 sec My sys-admin restarted Zope by accident 23 days ago. If there was a memory leak I probably would have known about it long before now. I have 10 threads going, in case anyone was wondering. I just want to say that I think Zope is a quite a terrific piece or open-source software. For all that it provides, it's stability is remarkable. If anyone needs a testimonial, as you can tell, I'm not shy about how I feel about Zope. MySQLDA / MySQLdb python import problem

Hello, i get this error in both trying to import MySQLDA or to build the MySQLdb: Python 1.5.2 (#3, Mar 22 2000, 12:33:26) [GCC 2.7.2] on linux2 Copyright 1991-1995 Stichting Mathematisch Centrum, Amsterdam >>> import MySQL python: can't resolve symbol 'open64' python: can't resolve symbol '__lxstat64' python: can't resolve symbol 'fopen64' Traceback (innermost last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in ? ImportError: Unable to resolve symbol To arrive here i patched the MySQLmodule.c like suggested from Jo Meder in message 25783 and it works but i have this problem right now and i'm not able to solve it.
