Hi, Just got this exception at startup : File "/lmn/build/Frontier/20050618/opt/Zope-2.8.0-final/lib/python/ZODB/FileStora ge/FileStorage.py", line 1733, in read_index if prev: NameError: global name 'prev' is not defined My Data.fs may be corrupted, but this is not the point : looking at the source code, I think it should be "h.prev" and not "prev" (in the if statement). Zip upload in Photo-1.3.0 doesn't work

Hello, Does anybody use the zip upload in the latest Photo product (1.3.0) ? There is a ftp bug in that release but is has a zip upload feature (that also doesn't work with me). I use Zope 2.7.7 on a Red Hat fedora core 4. Thanks for the help. Martin Koekenberg

Token 'ATOM' required, 'and' found

I'm using zope 2.7.5 and when doing a catalog search in a ZCTextIndex containing the starting with the word "and" it barfs with this errror: E.g. http://www.peterbe.com/search?q=and+i+cant+stop+thinking+about+you Error Type: ParseError Error Value: Token 'ATOM' required, 'and' found (traceback below) It works perfectly fine with http://www.peterbe.com/search?q=i+and+cant+stop+thinking+about+you because then it doesn't start with "and". The easy fix is so do something like this: if q.lower().startswith('and'): q= q[3:] results = self.Catalog.searchResults(title=q) But, is there a more robust solution to this? One that doesn't require hardcoded English words in the code. Is there a way to escape "and" and "or" to treat them as actual words? FW: Problem downloading large files

Hello all, I apologize if this is a wrong list for the question, but the python-crypto list doesn't seem to be working (at least I haven't received anything from there, not even the mails I've sent). Anyway I suppose there are people here who run the ZServerSSL with Zope. We're having some problems downloading large files from Zope/Plone running on win32, through an SSL connection. Uploads seem work ok. There's been some discussion about similar issues, but with uploads (http://www.zope.org/Wikis/DevSite/Proposals/ZServerSSLIntegration) The variable ac_out_buffer_size in https_server.py mentioned in that post is not present in the current version (or at least I haven't found it). The ac_in_buffer_size is assigned a value of 32k (1 << 16 bit shift operation). We've tried to change this value but with no success. This seems to be a problem only with SSL connections. If we download the same file (say, for example of 200MB) through HTTP connection the file transfers correctly. The same transfer through an SSL connection produces a corrupted file. M2Crypto 0.13 (suppose, The ZServerSSL has been installed with the Windows installer), Plone 2.0.3, Zope 2.7.0, Python 2.3.3 on win32. Kind regards, Tuukka

ZopeProfiler (python profiler) - strange results

Hi! I've just run ZopeProfiler few times to check which functions are slowest in my site and during analysis of the results I've found something that confuses me a bit. When I'm showing results using "print_stats" and ordered by "time" I get times: calls tottime percall cumtime percall function ... total_x ... cumulative_x ... X:1026(__call__) for function X. This seemed good till I've used "print_callees" format which showed me that function X is calling function Y and Z and their execution times are: functions_time = Y_call_time + Z_call_time. As far as I understand it "tottime" is the time without subfunctions' call times and "cumtime" is with subfunctions' call times, so I supposed that: cumulative_x - functions_time = total_x but this is not true... in almost every case I've checked it is rather: total_x + functions_time > cumulative_x Why? I don't think these are concurrent threads... but what makes this difference? It's possibly something trivial but... ;) -- Maciej Wisniowski

Error in treating custom exception

Hi all. It looks like I've hit something which is already known (I've found this reference: http://mail.zope.org/pipermail/zope-collector-monitor/2004-October/004316.h… ) I've a custom standard_error_html page, made with a Zope Page Template. I'm trying to provide a custom __str__ for a custom exception. This works, most of the time, but in some cases I encounter the following error: TypeError: unbound method __str__() must be called with InvalidFolderId instance as first argument (got nothing instead) InvalidFolderId is the custom exception, of course. This is the code of the exception: class InvalidFolderId(Exception): def __init__(self, folder_id): self.folder_id = folder_id def __str__(self): return "folder id %s could not be found in the database" % self.folder_id folder_id is a number. What could be done to avoid this problem? Thank you in advance for the help. Regards Marco

Follow-up to aq_parent(aq_inner(self))-question

Hi! How can I get the product's path while instantiating it? Shouldn't this information exist somewhere? aq_parent(aq_inner(self)) returns None, which isn't totally unexpected since __init__ isn't strictly a Zope method and thus doesn't necessarily have a Zope method's context. (I need, from the __init__ method of a product, to find out its instantiation path in the ZODB.) TIA, Ole

So far, I only know the command bobobase_modification_time, but it only works again the object I I enter the command with.. Plone: storage, catologing and versioning

Hi, I have a few questions about Plone (in some extent CMF/Zope): 1)How to manipulate versioning in Plone? (like CPS does) I know there is PLIP8, but it is still a proposal, isn't it? 2)How to store and catalog huge document collections? -LocalFS + ZCatalog? -Implement mapping and indexing in a relational DB? (I have also de ERP5's ZSQLCatalog option...) 3)Is there any product or Plone plug-in that allows enhanced searches through thesaurus or ontologies, or something like this?
