I believe the ideal place Zope could end up is as being something that was as simple to use as frontpage and as powerful as ... well as it already is. I'm not saying that the "simpler" users should be able to as powerfull things as "programmer" type users can but it should not be unaccessable to them. They should be able to edit and add basic documents. I don't want to be the only one who does all the editing of documents with zope. I think the solution I suggested with embedding the DTML inside an expanded (rendered?) document is very workable. It would allow a novice user to edit a DTML document that is potentially in many parts without destroying the DTML.

Hello! I have the folowing problem: I'm using Zope on a SUN Sparc machine running Solaris.. The site works nice, but I need to access the data, that is placed on a Microsoft SQL Server on a Windows NT and i cant change that :\ I've read in the Docs when i was installing that is possible to have a zope in each machine.. and use the one in the NT like an iterface. For example: Lets say.. If I define a Dtml method that gets the data from the SQL in the zope in Windows NT.. Can I call that method from the Zope in the SUN to retrieve the data from the Microsoft SQL?. If there's a way to do this (with 2 zopes or another way).. could someone please explain me how to do it? SQUISHDOT Assistance

I'm trying to set up a Squishdot website for our company's news and feedback site. There is zero instructions on how to do this, and apparently no how-to document either. Can anyone /please/ remember, when posting a product, to also please post appropriate documentation as well? Even if it's a completely minimal skeleton -- something to go on would be helpful! :-) Anyway, that having been said, can someone please help? I got the package installed, and the basic HTML interface apparently works. But no news postings I post seem to be coming up. Any ideas? MetaHeaders in Zope

I've been generating the pages for my web site using a couple of scripts, which enable me to somewhat customize the Meta Headers. Now that I am moving the site to Zope, I still need those meta headers. << Anybody who does ECommerce relies on meta headers, to be in the search engines.
