Hi Folks, Below is my reply, and the original post from Squishdot. Today another post showed up in the List Search re. problems w/ the MailHost Object. Thanks for looking into this, Jerry S. I'm not using Squishdot yet, but I have had a similar problem with the Zope MailHost Object. I get errors from the SMTP host saying the recipient is missing. Of course I assumed it was the SMTP that was configured wrong, but maybe there's a more basic issue here. Or maybe the documentation is misleading and so folks are having trouble getting things set up correctly. At any rate, you're not alone. That's all I can say about Squishdot. I do have a problem, though, and would be grateful if anyone else admitted same.. I can't seem to get this thing to do email notifications to replies properly. I see the mail coming in to the mail host, but its got a blank recipient and therefore does not make it in to the (proper) recipient mailbox.

zclass error after install XMLDocument-1.0a1

manage_clone gives permission error since Zope2

Hi there! Since we upgraded to Zope 2.0.0b4, I have major troubles with "manage_clone" in a product which worked fine before. Whenever I try using it, I get permission errors, even the superuser cannot use the method that worked fine before. Assuming I did something wrong, I took the Zope Content Manager Guide and typed the Plutonia example in again. It uses "manage_clone" as I do in my product. I ran this example, and hey! It did not work and gave the same weired "ApplicationDefaultPermissions" errors and stuff like that. I tried login as a superuser, and again I got authorization errors. First of all I though the error must have to do with wrong permission settings of my role, but than the superuser should not get an error, right? I also don't understand the new "mapping" permissions in the products since Zope2. Any clarification? Please send any reply directly to me! Thanks, Floyd

MySQLDA connection string?

Yes I am a newbie to MySQL and Zope 2 ... However I have installed MySQLdb-0.1.0 and applied applied the patch that comes with it to MySQLDA. And I got MySQLdb working in a little python session. So the question is: what is the magic connection string that I have to give to the form when I want to add a "Z MySQL Database Connection". Sorry if I missed some very explicit instructions, but an honest attempt was made to do the homework. Thanks for your indulgences, Joseph Mann

patch: "FullTextIndex" fix for ZCatalog weirdness

The fact that ZCatalog currently does unexpected things with query words that are "stop words" was a show-stopper for my application. While discussion on the mailing list included possible big-picture fixes, I chose a simple quick solution to the problem. I added a new Index type, "FullTextIndex," to augment the existing "TextIndex" and "FieldIndex". Using "FullTextIndex", the stop word dictionary is set to {}, forcing a full text catalog to be built. While noise words will cause inflated indices and spurious searches, at least the results are intuitive. "FullTextIndex" makes sense for titles and keyword fields; it doesn't make sense for long documents. Diffs from Zope-2.0.0 follow. The patch also includes the fix to sort-order posted to this list. Apply with patch -p0 from the top level Zope directory. Remember kids, this isn't an official patch! ZMySQLDA compilation problems

multiple ZCatalogs

Hi everyone, Is it possible (or preferable) to have more than one ZCatalog instance? Specifically, I'd like to index some images for the purpose of collaborating with some other people on a project. There's no reason why these images would need to be available anywhere else on the site. About knowledge product....

Hello, I know I must have mist something really obvious but still, has anyone installed the knowledge product?, I have imported it fine, I see the FAQ anf KB entry options in my selection menu it works but I just can not find the way to set the forms to appear on the site for public view, because if you select either the FAQ or the KB Entry you get a form, and the procedure to create the two methods onli list all ready made entries, but there is no way to set the input forms to be displayed on the site, what am I missing here, cud some one help me? Thanks a lot in advanced Sam
