Conditional SiteRoot

Hi Could anybody tell me how to install a conditional SiteRoot (I would like the SiteRoot only for anonymous users)? Background: I'm running Zope/Plone behind Apache and use ProxyPass and SiteRoot to get some subdirectories from Zope, while the rest of the subdirectories are standard html-pages delivered by Apache. To accelerate this system, I use Apache's mod_cache. This works fine and gives some extra speed. The users see the cached pages under http://mydomain/foo/bar and Plone-Members can login and admin at the system at http://mydomain/extraprefix/foo/bar But if a user now logs in and enters http://mydomain/extraprefix/foo/bar with the SiteRoot, he is redirected to http://mydomain/foo/bar cached by Apache and therefore there is no more Plone-line to edit the page etc. Therefore I had to switch off the cache again. Hi All, Ug, looks like things went from bad to worse. January's bug day was very quiet, February's was totally dead. Not a single issue was dealt with on the bug day and #zope-dev was dead for the whole day. logging inside TTW script

Hi, How can I log events that take place inside a TTW Python Script, and log them immediately? I have a script that converts a few hundreds of objects in a "for" loop. One of these objects causes my script to fail. I need to find out which object it is. In other words, which iteration. TTW scripts of course runs is a single transaction for Zope, and if anything fails, Zope will discard the whole transaction and not tell me which iteration the problem was in. If I put logging in the TTW script, it will not help, because the logging itself will be discarded too! Please help. -- Milos Prudek

ZSQLRelayDA

I'm trying to use ZSQLRelayDA to access a MS SQL database on a windows server from a Zope instance on a linux server. I can issue one query, then I get an error printed to the console of the linux box when I try to issue another: "Client Library error: severity(78) layer(0) origin(0) number(51) Error: Attempt to initiate a new SQL Server operation with results pending." Zope hangs, and needs to be restarted. It looks like either zope or sqlrelay isn't closing the database connection properly. Anyone any ideas of how to fix this? Robert Munro

traversal problem

Hi I have say 3 folders with following ids folder1 folder2 folder3 Now I show this list to the user in a comno box. User selects folder which results in displaying of the contents of that folder. root folder hangs on Contents in manager iface

I have a Zope-2.7.3 installation running on linux. I can no longer access the contents of the root folder in the manager interface using http. I see the left frame which shows acl_users, Control_Panel, etc, and when I click on any of them I see the views you would expect in the right frame, eg the Contents and Undo tabs. But when I click on http://localhost/manage_workspace, my browser hangs (tested on IE under windows XP and Firefox on linux). I can ftp into the root dir and do an ls and see the contents. The attempt to access manage_main just hangs there with a "Waiting for localhost" message in the status bar. I am not running a firewall. I shut down my 2.7.3 install and did clean install of 2.7.4 to a new dir (build notes below) and I got exactly the same problem running 2.7.4 from a clean install! So I thought something may be wrong with my python site-packages dir, which I temporarily hid by renaming it to site-pacakges.hide, but this was no help. Perhaps I have a bad system lib? Any ideas? DateTime: Get DateTime-Objekt from german dateformat %d.%m.%Y

Hi, i have a litte problem to insert my german dateformat into my SQL-Database, because I must convert it to ISO-Format. I try datum=_.DateTime (wiedervorlage).ISO()) but day and month ar interchanged. How can I convert my datestring '1.3.2005' to '2005-03-01'? Thanks, Patrick
