Just so you know ;) This looks like you're not getting the plone css files from the server, which would happen if plone/zope sent you to the wrong URL for those files. Check the source code for the page to see where the server is sending you Please recheck the configuration in the ASP404 script. Also check that you only have one VirtualHostMonster in the root of your Zope (not inside plone. I don't know if it's a problem, but I haven't checked). If you're using a binary plone release, that has two web ports open, one for Plone and one for Zope (administrative port), check that you're connecting to the administrative port (i.e., you're accessing the port that gives access to the Zope root), and configure ASP404 to access the plone folder inside it. Cheers. -- Ideas don't stay in some minds very long because they don't like solitary confinement.

DTML and Buttons
by Asad Habib 14 Jan '04

14 Jan '04

Is it possible to have a dtml document that consists of a single form with buttons that trigger the execution of dtml methods? Offcourse there would be one submit button for the form itself but rather than have one form associated with each button on the page(in this case several forms would lie within a single form) I would like to have the buttons directly call dtml methods. I know this can be done using Javascript but I'd rather use something else since Javascript executes on the client machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. - Asad

Re: [Zope] Problem inserting <dtml-var sequence-item> using ZSQL method in a dtml-in tag

Yes, I also tried in that way but I get the following error. This site encountered an error trying to fulfill your request. The errors were: Error Type KeyError Error Value sequence_item I think that this is because is requiring with the form _[sequence_item] the definition of this variable in the REQUEST object, but in fact this variable doesn't depend on REQUEST object. Its on current Dtml method. >From: v.schnabel(a)aperto.de (Veiko Schnabel) >Reply-To: v.schnabel(a)aperto.de >To: Gabriela López Ruiz <glopezruiz(a)msn.com> >Subject: Re: [Zope] Problem inserting <dtml-var sequence-item> using ZSQL >method in a dtml-in tag >Date: Wed, 14 Jan 2004 16:53:31 +0100 > > > <dtml-call "updateStatementValues( > checklist_id=_['checklist_id'], > statement_template_id=_['sequence-item'])"> > > >On Wednesday 14 January 2004 16:24, Gabriela López Ruiz wrote: > > Hi all, > > I'm here again. > > Now I have a problem trying to insert a group of records in a relational > > table. ZSQL statement pass variables.
by RI Dunfey 14 Jan '04

14 Jan '04

Hi Everyone, I want to run a zsql select statement from a python script. I want to specify the column headings to include in the SQL statement in the python script before executing the script. I have tried using <dtml-sqlvar my_column_headings type="string"> but this puts quotes around them. ZSQL: select <my_column_headings> from applicant In my python I want to specify the headings as a variable, eg. my_column_headings = title, surname The variable is passed to the ZSQL and executed as: select title, surname from applicant. Do you see what I mean, is thgis possible? If so could someone point me in the right direction. Kind Regards, Rob

security (edit) problem for ttwtypes
by vogel＠glue.ch 14 Jan '04

14 Jan '04

I discovered a security problem in my plone/zope installation for every ttw-type. environment: - plone version 1.0.5 - os: windows 2000 - installed products: ttwtype, zopexmlmethods - created ttwtype 'ttwTypnamesFoo' in folder /myPloneFolder 1) at the root folder of my plone instance, I created a role A with permissions: a) Access session data und b) Access Transient Objects 2) I created user 01 with role A - correct: the user 01 never gets to see the tab with the edit-action - that's why on points 3) and 4) the access to the edit-form is done by typing the url directly in the url-field of the browser. 3) correct: - if user 01 wants to edit an object of type document (e.g. /Plone/index_html), the edit-form will be shown, but the user cannot save it. (-> msg: you are not allowed....) - url was: http://........../Plone/index_html/portal_form/document_edit_form 4) problem: - if user 01 wants to edit an object of a ttwtype (e.g. /myPloneFolderttwTypnamesFoo), the edit-form will be shown, and the user is ALLOWED to save it!! - url was: http://......./myPloneFolder/ttwTypnamesFoo/portal_form/ttw_edit_form any ideas how I can restrict the edit-and-save-access to my ttwtype objects? thanks for every input, david.

aq_parent in Netscape 4
by David Sumner 14 Jan '04

14 Jan '04

Hello, Has anyone had any issues using aq_parent to build bread crumbs. I have a breadcrumbs script that works pretty well in newer browsers. But using Netscape 4 seems to break it. It does not return anything. Does anyone know of a well implemented breadcrumbs script? Thanks

ZPT: nesting ul inside p
by Lee Harr 14 Jan '04

14 Jan '04

Hi; I understand (somewhat) why this does not work in a ZPT ... <p> <ul><li>foo</li></ul> </p> (The p tag is being implicitly closed so that the ul tag can be started) But, should I not be able to have a list in a paragraph? _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 helps eliminate e-mail viruses. ZODB A storage error occured during transaction abort.
by Dennis Allison 14 Jan '04

14 Jan '04

This is new in code that has been running for ages. The impact is significant--it brings the system to a halt, restarting is the only option. The database appears to have been left unsullied. QLOG is a ZSQL method that saves some data in the database. It references an external method that generates a string that's guaranteed to be unique. It keeps its persistent state in the local file system and uses file locking--all outside of the usual Zope context. The database method references a Zope python script method which computes a portion of the SQL query. There's nothing unusual about the script but for the fact that it embeds a sub-procedure. I read Dieter's lucid description of the source of this error in the mailing list archives, but I am at a loss to identify the method that registers the surrogate and does not have an _p_oid instance. This is all running on Zope 2.6.2b3, Python 2.3.1, RH7.3. I know there was a bug in 2.6.1 of this sort, but I believe it was expunged. >From the error log: 2004-01-13T17:15:21 ERROR(200) ZODB A storage error occured during transaction abort. RE: survey: zope 2.7 syntax errors with TAL statments over multiple lines
by Gerry Kirk 13 Jan '04

13 Jan '04

Maybe, but I've found this problem in a number of products, including CMFPlone and PloneCalendar, files that didn't produce errors in 2.6. There is definitely a difference in the way 2.7 is handling TAL statements spanning multiple lines vs. 2.6.2.
