No information about upgrading

Maybe this is too basic for you out there but there is no information in zope 2 distribution neither any of the docs on the zope site about upgrading from zope 1 to zope 2. creation time attribute?

There is a modification time attribute you can access using bobobase_modificatio_time(). Another intreresting behaviour in IE5 is the download behavior: http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/download/ <SNIP> What is it? The download behavior is a ie5 behavior that allows you to download any file without having to reload the page. This is very useful, for example it can be used with tree views so that the sub items are not downloaded until you expand the parent. It can be used for a lot of things, including submitting forms (GET method only), use your imagination. </SNAP> This behavior come well in hand when implementing a link tool for ZIE or a Image browser, and make it possible to save in the background perhaps? I hope no one minds this sort of announcement being on this list (I know about zope-announce, but I don't know its intended audience). Apologies if it is misplaced. Last night the Philadelphia Linux Users Group sponsored a introductory talk on Zope (which I gave). There were about 30 attendees, and the talk was fairly well-received. I'm left shaking my head that such a fine piece of software goes so unsung, even within the sympathetic audience of a Linux user's group. Virtually no one at this meeting had even the smallest clue of what Zope was all about before the talk. We need to work on this marketing thing a little. Well, actually, a lot. Slides from the talk are available at http://sharon.iqgroup.com. Feel free to use them for any purpose whatsoever. And after working with MS Site Server all day, I have one thing to say: GO ZOPE!!!!!!

hi, i spent quite some time going thru userland.com, zope's archive reading stuff about xmlrpc. i see the potential, but can't really grasp how we can achieve that with zope. the announcement http://www.zope.org:12080/archives/Catalog/archives/1999-June/005831.html provide a little example, but really, i don't get it. can any guru help explain what and how we can use xmlrpc with zope? can we use zope as the server? if so, how? and i assume zope can be the client updating other servers to, right? i'm really stuck here. me-in-a-bind thanks
