precision of values returned by ZSQL query

hi everyone, i found a strange behavior regarding values returned from a ZOracleDA ZSQL query. maybe someone here knows how to get around it: ->table PAYMENT: AMOUNT ------ 5000 1.5 ->query select sum(AMOUNT) as total_cash from PAYMENT i am getting 5001 in zope instead of 5001.5 and even applying formatting to it like <dtml-var total_cash fmt="%.1f"> comes out to 5001.0, so i assume the value must get truncated by zope or by the database adapter. the same query in SQLPlus works as intended. has anyone come against this and found a workaround? jens

How do I FTP into zope to upload images and html docs etc.? Where do the main docs live? Can I use fetch to upload ? GenericUserfolder Authentication mysteries

Hello, I have the following site-structure: root acl_users (standard Authentication) client |----- acl_users (Generic User Folder cookie auth) |----- index_html |----- bearbeiten (DTML-Method accesses EinAusgabe) |----- delete (ZSQL-Method) |----- data |---- index_htlm |---- table1 |----- EinAusgabe (TinyTable) |----- index_html When I now access client/data/ the Genericuser authentication dialog comes up, I enter username and password for user1, which has the roles Manager,Owner and Anonymous. Then the index_html page is displayed, which has link to: table1/bearbeiten DTML-method bearbeiten uses the TinyTable, which has all anonymous access unchecked, and is only accessable to Manager and Owner Now the apache authentication box pops up ??? when I cancel it, I get Zope-Error you are not allowed to access EinAusgabe. When I allow the anonymous access to EinAusgabe it works. Apparently the Genericuser does not use his roles. Any hint is apreacheated. Hoi, As traffic is so HIGH in this mailing list, is it an idea to make a 'Newsgroup' (comp.lang.zope) for it?? how to access an external method via a hyperlink

Is it possible to access an external method via a hyperlink? I am able to do that from a form: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- <form action=fshSetKat method=post> <input type=submit name=submit value=<dtml-var name> > <input type=hidden name=KategorieID value="<dtml-var KategorieID>" > </form> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- where fshSetKat is the name of the external method doing some database transactions but our client wishes to have a hyperlink instead of a submit button Thanks in advance for your help phil

Is it possible to save a word 2000 document, on a Zope WebFolder, as a zclass and not as a file object. It could be interesting to have properties with a word-doc and a life cycle management . Thanks, Jean-Louis BERLIET
