Collector reports not being visible is annoying

you guys at DC, I guess it's for security reason's, but I feel it a little bit annoying that most open bug reports in the collector (the ones "under review") are not readable for normal humans. Most other projects have their BTS completely open, and it seems to be viable. Some would argue that this is what made open source projects so successful (Debian says "we won't hide our problems"). Perhaps it would be possible to make this review period much shorter in general, so that each report is checked for immediate security relevance in one or two days, and is then made readable, even if it was not yet reviewed in full ? Perhaps add a checkbox "Potential security risk" to the report form, so that the reporter can give a hint on the severity of the bug. The way it currently is, if I want to check problems with ZClasses, there are 65 reports. More than the half of them is under review, and in general the subject of the report is not so clear that I can see if it refers to the problem I'm running into. Gregor

Crashes with ZServer

Hi Zoppiste, Since 2 weeks I had dreams. The ZServer from Zope-2.0.1 was stable. zhttpserver was forgotten. But now I had bad experiences with zope. The ZServer crash four times this lastest two weeks and I did not find explanation :( My startup file contain the following lines. This is getting weird, Can't change password??????

Hey all remember me? This is getting very weird, The code below now works, no changes. What would cause this code to one day work, then stop working and then again start working again. Using regexes in DTML expressions

I'd like to be able to use a regex from the Python re module in a <dtml-if> tag expression, e.g. <dtml-if "_.re.search('(([Ps|Sc|S|C][i|y])|Sigh)Comp?', company_name)"> Pickled pink. </dtml-if> What is the easiest way to do something like this? Thanks, Ben

ZSQL: How to use return value from an 'INSERT'?

I'm using PostgreSQL 6.5 and Zope 2.x on RH6. When inserting a new record in database I'd like to access the return OID from the INSERT query from within my ZSQL method. This isn't Zope's fault. I keep hearing this but don't understand the overlooking of Solid. The ZODBCDA recompiled w/o changes for the Solid SQL DB under Linux. Solid isn't free or even cheap, and many disagree with their radical shift in marketing this past year (small developers -> big $$$ developers) but it does exist and it is ODBC compliant. Their manuals are a defacto ODBC reference work. -Jeff Rush
