A web based list. A place people could put their names down as expressions of interest for developing, for testing etc, so that virtual teams can be easily and ideas can be thrashed out amoungst those interested. Those not directly involved can also get a feel for the progress of the idea. Also you can intergrate in something I'm about to work on for my site. This is a "bug-parade" type system for new features. Users have a limited number of votes which they can put on the ideas they would most like to see come to fruition. Also a neat way of organizing the contributed software section of the zope site, as this area has not nearly enough information.

Can't start server

I just read the devshed article on Zope and thought I would give it a try on my machine. ZServer lockups

I'm experiencing occasional lockups of ZServer (currently being used in conjuction with PCGI and Apache). When this happens, I get no response at all from the http interface (Netscape eventually times out and says the document contains no data). I've looked in the ZServer log file, and the last entry corresponds to the last successful request that was served. When I kill z2.py, I get the following: Traceback (innermost last): File "z2.py", line 355, in ? zdaemon.run(sys.argv, os.path.join(INSTANCE_HOME, Zpid)) File "/home/controlpanel/Zope-2.0.0a4-src/lib/python/zdaemon.py", line 202, in run p,s = os.waitpid(pid, 0) KeyboardInterrupt Can any of the Zope gurus who have a better understanding of the Zope internals help to diagnose this problem? Copy/Paste objects in DTML??

Hi, I'm trying to do a mass conversion of old Folder objects into shiny new ZClasses, and I need to copy all of the subobjects of the Folder and paste it into the new ZClass. The subobjects are primarily Images. Make pcgi-wrapper Required

I just installed the beta 4 binary for linux. Although there was a pcgi-wrapper in the pcgi directory, the connection through apache and Zope.cgi failed. Once I did a configure, make, and make install (which fails) in the pcgi directory, everything was ok. I had a similar problem with beta 3, except the pcgi-wrapper wasn't in the the pcgi directory, so it was a little more obvious that I had to make it. 8=) Al
