Problem with tree and navigate_filter

Hi, I have an DTML method with the following code:  : :  The tree is inserting a plus icon in front of empty folders and file documents. If I click on that icon it expands the tree. In the case of the empty folder I get something like: - Empty folder - Empty folder + Empty folder In the case of a document: - folder + file 1 - file 2 + file 1 + file 2 Any ideas? -- Carlos Henrique Bauer

ZSQL method attribute name question

I would like to be able to write generic handlers for data returned by ZSQL methods. To do this I need to know how to get access to the metadata for rows returned by ZSQL methods. If I define a class and associate it with a ZSQL method using the Advanced tab of that method's management page, what is the right way for that class to learn the names of the columns returned by the query? The following code works, but I was unable to find the __record_schema__ attribute in any Zope documentation and I am a little wary of using it unless I know it is legitimate, particularly since its name begins with two underscores. If there is a better way to do this I would really like to know. (Did I miss something obvious?) If I have a handler that contains: class handler: def munge(self): ret = "" for i in self.__record_schema__.keys(): ret = ret + "<br>" + str(i) + " = " + str(getattr(self, i)) return ret and the handler is associated with a ZSQL method named get_phonebook which simply runs "select * from phonebook" and I have a table in the database which looks like: create table phonebook ( first_name varchar, last_name varchar, address varchar, phonenumber varchar) then if I execute this page of DTML    <br>   It shows me something like this: ADDRESS = London PHONENUMBER = 999-9999 LAST_NAME = Thomas FIRST_NAME = David ADDRESS = Berkeley PHONENUMBER = 888-8888 LAST_NAME = Herman FIRST_NAME = Tom which is what I want - the names of the columns and the values. One of the things that is not clear to me (and this may be a Pythonism, not a Zopism) is why I am able to retrieve the values for the columns by calling getattr(self, i) when, if I try to retrieve the object's attributes by calling dir(self) or just dir(), I don't see any of these attribute names. Obviously, this example is fairly contrived. I just wanted to show the mechanism I was after. What I really want to be able to do is call several ZSQL methods from an external method and play around with combinations of the results without having to know in advance exactly what to expect back from the ZSQL methods. HEAD method in 2.0.0b1

I got this report from a reader of technocrat.net, who complains that the HEAD method is returning results that are inconsistent with the results from the GET method on the same URL. Is this a Zope problem or a Squishdot problem? product distribution mayhem

OK, hopefully not mayhem, just confusion. What's the proper procedure for distributing a project with Zclasses? I used to think one just had to tar.gz the lib/python/Products/X directory, but that doesn't work in this scenario: I am building a Product that uses python classes and Zclasses. I begin by creating a directory in lib/python/Products/X and put my python module and __init__.py in it. I restart Zope and in the Zope interface, proceed to add some rally nifty ZClasses and DTML methods and such into my new Product. Now I want to distribute it. How? I can archive lib/python/Products/X, but all that contains is the python source I started with. I can hit the "Export" button in Control Panel/Products and create a .zexp file with all my Products properties and ZClasses, etc, but that does not contain the python source. Neither one is complete, and I end up doing this: (on the destination Zope server) create a lib/python/Products/X, and unarchive my source code. Restart Zope. Re-name the new Product (so the next step doesn't collide) Then go to Zope Products folder and import my X.zexp file. I think this works-- I'm actually not even sure why. re: zope outputs static site

I have code which outputs a zope site as a static "mirror". There are some real tricky issues like finding images. We use it here regularly since I'm not yet willing to serve from zope - so I construct my site dynamically and serve it as static html from apache. If you're willing to test (and that means let me know what happens !), contact me directly please. I was threatening Paul when I was out in VA that I would do this, and because Rob made me make it a priority (got to love those guys), here to put the Z in e-commerce, is the Wampum Generator! (May need to work on the name) The Wampum Generator allows you to process credit card transactions in Zope using CyberCash. You can perform a variety of tasks using DTML and most of the CyberCash administration functions exists in the management interface (batch processing, voiding transactions, & posting returns) >From The README.txt: The Wampum Generator (pre-alpha) The Wampum Generator (pre-alpha) is the first draft of a CyberCash Connection object that gives application developers the ability to process Internet credit card transactions in Zope. If you encounter a bug or would like to see a particular feature added please discuss it on the Zope mailing list, zope(a)zope.org. Or better yet send us a patch! We are releasing this product in this rough state because it might be useful to some of those people in the Zope community, and to receive your feedback and comments. Be warned this release is not for the faint of heart! If you're not the hacker type you might want to wait for a more polished release. To build this package you must download the Merchant Connection Kit (MCK) from CyberCash at http://www.cybercash.com and sign-up as a merchant. Note: the product will setup reasonable defaults for testing if you leave the values blank. You accomplish this by creating a specific container for the object (instead of using a generic Folder). To do this, create a ZClass (say 'CDRack') that inherits from Object Manager (this will be your container). Then, create your other ZClass (eg 'CD') in the Methods tab of CDRack. Then, when you add a CDRack, you'll be able to add CD objects (and nothing else). And, you won't be able to add CD objects anywhere else. I believe there is some discussion of this within the ZClass Tutorial. Kevin
