I want to implement a editable calendar. As a first step I installed the Calendar Tag product and followed the Jon Udell How-To almost to the letter (except for user Flintstone). I created a external method called editCalendarProperty referring to a function with the same name and a Python module Calendar.CalendarItem (CalendarItem.py was placed in a Extensions subdirectory of the Calendar product directory). Without 'date' properties the document renders fine. Object ids in the select

If I have the code : <form action="setmember" method="post"> <select name="members" size="10" multiple> <dtml-in catalog> <option value="<dtml-var catalog.getobject(data_record_id_)>"> <dtml-var title> </option> </dtml-in> </select> <input type="submit" value="addmembers"> </form> How I can retrieve the object-ids in setmember. If setmember is a python method, what is passed to it? I have the which collect objects in its attribute as a list.

Worldpilot error, and fix :)

If you try to modify a calendar entry that you do'nt have permission for (but can obviously see :), you will get a syntax error. The problem: The in Worldpilot/Resource.py the phrase that is supposed to be returned is: 'You don't have permission...' Compete with the same quotemarks. The fix: I just did a global search/replace and swapped "don't" with "do not". That's it. Setting content-type on HEAD request

I have the following code in standard_html_header, and <dtml-call "RESPONSE.setHeader('content-type', 'text/html')"> when a GET request comes to the URL, the content-type header in the HTTP response appears correctly. However, when a HEAD request comes, the response always appears as application/octet-stream. How do I correct this? export Z_DEBUG_MODE=no -- broken?

Inside lib/python/ZPublisher/HTTPResponse.py there is the following code: def _traceback(self,t,v,tb): tb=self.format_exception(t,v,tb,200) tb=join(tb,'\n') tb=self.quoteHTML(tb) if self.debug_mode: _tbopen, _tbclose = '<PRE>', '</PRE>' else: _tbopen, _tbclose = '' return "\n%s\n%s\n%s" % (_tbopen, tb, _tbclose) which seems to be a way of switching off traceback dumps in the browser window and have them wind up in an html comment instead. How do I enable this feature. I tried setting Z_DEBUG_MODE to something other that 1 or yes, but it doesn't seem to do anything. We're using SiteRoot (1.0.0) and Generic User Folder (1.1.0) on Zope 2.1.3 src on our site, without any hassles. ZODB 7 thread limit?

Hi there, I was just wondering if any one can explain the reasons for the 'pool_size=7' and 'version_pool_size=3' numbers which are part of the defaults for the ZODB (lib/python/ZODB/DB.py)? Is there something behind the magic numbers, or should I change them only at great risk to myself and my Zope installation? I'd like to raise the number of threads active on my site above the 7 limit... Searching for ZODB wisdom-ly yours, --Brian Hooper

cataloging nodes of an XML Document?

Ah - the problem here is my patch for making ZCatalog catalog acquired objects is breaking things. XMLDocument.objectIds() returns values that you can't access with XMLDocument.foo Fixed version of my patch attached... (line numbers might be slightly wonky) Anthony
