Ok, I've got the z sql method & odbc working correctly, and from a screen i can input a date ( as text string) and product which then returns a nice and fast! ) graph of dates on the x axis versus avg values on the y. Now from the documentation you can only get back 2 variables to use in the graph but i need to plot about 5 Y values. So i thought about multiple graphs but can't get that to work either. My solution was to create 5 radio buttons asking for what type of plot they want, then based on the button selected fire off the appropriate <action>. I'm new to Zope so i can't seem to get the Conditional statement to work right on the <submit>. Anyone with any experience in any of this please send suggestions. Thanks. WorldPilot Calendar fixes and (UW) IMAP Options available

Hello WorldPilot Users, There's a new WorldPilot 1.0.3 maintenance release available, that addresses some of the interoperability issues. Check out http://www.worldpilot.org or ftp://demo.worldpilot.com/pub/worldpilot/worldpilot-release-1.0.3.tar Calendar Problems: For everybody who had Timezone troubles with the WorldPilot Calendar, this release should hopefully work for you now. Please send us your positive or negative feedback to mailto:feedback@worldpilot.org so that we know if it now works around the globe :-) UW IMAP users: And for all the (UW-) IMAP users there is now a IMAPHACK.py file located in the WorldPilot Product directory. Here you can set the Base IMAP directory (e.g. Mail or INBOX) and you can choose to only list subscribed folders (but you'll currently need to subscribe them with a seperate client). Thanks for all the tips and suggestions! I hope WorldPilot will soon operate with most of the remaining other IMAP servers, too. We're still working on some of those other tracebacks that got sent in. Fully qualified URL in FORM ACTION???

For some reason, Zope requires a fully qualified URL (FQURL?) in my FORM ACTION tags. I'm running 2.1.6 (it was the same with 2.1.4), Apache Rewrite (works fine on everything). Can anyone shed some light on this, is it my setup, and if so where should I start looking? TIA jim

Dear people, i'm new to Zope and am in search for a way to do the following: central document-administration adress-administration date-scheduler (I'm translating back from german here - maybe all of this together is called groupware?) All of this for only about 10 hosts, running under Win95/98 I would like to use Zope on a LINUX server for this, but am aware that Lotus Domino may be the way to go - i just don't know if there *are* such Products for Zope ... dtml-in over LocalFS

In attempt to write an interface to present a series pages on the same folder from a localfs, I have the following code, This is intended to place on top and bottom of the page a page-number bar which provide access to other pages in the same folder. However, there are some problem I could not handle: 1. If I just want .stx, html , text and xml documents, how can I select them? 2. I can not make test if the in loop is on the same document this document is in. I could not test the sequence-item against the document id. How can I handle them? Upgraded to 2.1.6, now all pages return an unauthorized error!

As a result, the site is entirely unusable. Help very desperate.... We have a Zope site running: Zope version: Zope 2.0.1 (source release, python 1.5.1, linux2) (also happens on a seperate box running Zope 2.1.6) Python version: 1.5.2 (#6, Sep 22 1999, 10:32:58) [GCC 2.8.1] System Platform: sunos5, Ultra-2 It seems that if a user hits a page that either does an intense database query or iterates over a large number of items, all other users are prevented from accessing any page....! This problem may to be related to the dtml-in but we are not sure. For example suppose user A hits the following page (before user B hits his page):  <dtml-in "_.range(999)"> <dtml-var "_['sequence-item']"> <dtml-in "_.range(999)"> <dtml-var "_['sequence-item']"> </dtml-in> </dtml-in>  And User B tries to access this page: <html><head> </head> <body> This is test </body> </html> User B is prevented from accessing his page until User A's page returns. Please help ASAP Dan

strange permission behaviour

Hi All! Ok, just in time for my new nervous-breakdown, read this: I have a ZClass which does have a "render" method. The render-method collects items from a catalog and calls these objects' "render" method. Unfortunately this raises an Unauthorised Error, whenever I do not use the super-user account. (Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Unauthorized You are not authorized to access render. Ok, so I gave the calling Method the proxy-role of the Manager. No change. The strange thing about it is, and that is what puzzles me, that it works for another class (which does only slightly different things). So, what now, hu? Regards, Ingo.

User-defined role authentication

I have defined a role, editor, in my Zope system. It is not clear to me how to prompt a user who is not a manager to authenticate so that Zope will recognize the user as something other than anonymous. Any pointers? -Adam
