I get a key error without the Quotes. Nick Garcia's Suggestion to use the dtml-with tag worked... include/import module

Hi, How do I import a module - I've been reading the DTML guide, and I would like to use some of the functions described in the string module, but how do use them - do I have to import the module (if so, how), or what else. What I want to use is the following: <dtml-if expr="lower(somestring)=='supplier'"> </dtml-if> where lower is defined in the string module. I've also tried string.lower(...) but that didn't seem to work. thanks Allen

web folders - advice requested...

For examples see: www.yahoo.com, www.netscape.com, http://directory.google.com/ I think http://directory.google.com/ is the best example, but anyway... I'd like to be able to edit the entries with a web browser, and be able to attach files to the tree - like PDF docs, and jpg/gif/png pictures. I'm guessing I could do it with MySQL... what does everyone think? Is there a Zope plugin that already does this. Does someone have some code laying around you could send me? Im basically looking for a good place to focus my efforts on, for now. Zcatalog caught me by surprise again !

I had a Zcatalog working nice and dandy, cataloging employee-zclasses on our intranet (zope CVS-version).. I left it by itself for some weeks, (cannot remember to have done anything to change it.. ) and now i returns Error Type: TypeError Error Value: getattr, argument 2: expected string, ImplicitAcquirerWrapper found - Everytime i call reindex-object ?! DBMaker adapter problem

Hi, does anybody use DBMaker with Zope using Z DBMaker Database Adapter for Linux2? I've got a strange problem. Serving external files

Hi, I have some questions about serving external files: I want to be able to serve a file that is external to Zope's Object database. This file would probably be a binary file. So far, I have an external method that reads the data from the file, and sets the header of the RESPONSE object passed to it. The external method looks something like: def readFile(self, REQUEST, RESPONSE): ... data = f.read() # where f is the binary file, and has been opened RESPONSE.setHeader("Content-Type", "application/data") return data The zope id of the external method is "getFile". I have a dtml method that calls this external method, using <dtml-var "getFile(REQUEST, RESPONSE)"> The id of this dtml method is "download". Say I have a dtm document with something like <a href="download">SomeFile.dat</a> This works, and the file is downloaded correctly. I want to know firstly whether there is a better way of achieving this. Secondly, when the user clicks on the SomeFile.dat hyperlink, and the browser's "save as" dialog pops up, the browser uses the id of the dtml method "download" as the filename in the dialog. Obviously I would rather this dialog shows the name of the file that will be downloaded. How can I change this? I can't rename the dtml method suitable for each different filname that might be downloaded, so where else can I alter this behaviour? Thanks Allen
