Need Help in Using :record Type in Form Variable

I've read http://www.zope.org/Members/Zen/howto/FormVariableTypes and a few other HOW-TO's and still haven't figured out how to make use of the :record type in form variables. My form looks like: <form method="post" action="processForm"> <input type=text name=choice.1:record> <input type=text name=choice.3:record> <input type=text name=choice.10:record> <input type=submit> </form> Now processForm need to tell which and how many choice.x:record are entered. This works: <dtml-var "REQUEST['choice']"> that's as far as I can go. I want to do: <dtml-in "REQUEST['choice'].keys()"> <dtml-var sequence-item>:<dtml-var sequence-value> </dtml> but it doesn't know what "keys()" is. Question: how do I get the keys and values for this "choice" record in processForm? Thanx, -Tanming Fong

FSSession and external methods...

Hi all, Anyone got any experience with FSSession and external methods (actually a PythonMethod). I want to get the data out of an FSSession object using this construct-type <argument>self</argument> FS = self.FSSession out = "" for k,v in FS.items(): out = out + "K:%s, V:%s<br>" % (k,v) return out and get this;  Looking at FSSession.py, _v_data is there as part of the FSSession class; def items(self): return self._v_data.items() but it's not getting through to the method. Anyone got a fixe for this? I need to do some heavy processing with the contents of the FSSession object so I can't *really* use DTML. I have a couple of different Zope instances running on Linux and Windows, but that was the first data loss. It seemed to me as if the session had been running in "demo" mode so that changes would not be really persistent. As in Alexandre's case, I first thought I was dreaming because there was no hint of my data except for the log files. I suggest some further investigation into that. If Zope really lost things that easily, I'd consider not using ZODB for production sites ... BTW: In my case it also was a Windows system crash that caused the data loss. hi all, i've been looking at confera and zdiscussion as a possible forum solution. however, i'm also looking at other perl/php products. my Q: -anybody on the list have deployed confera/zdiscussion on a large site? -what will a lot of traffic do to Data.fs? will i have to pack often? -i'm looking at modifying zdiscussion to store to an RDBMS. anybody done that already? if so, mind sharing how you did it? -i'm not a python programmer. and i would like to implement filtering for certain words/malicious html tags. i see an external method here. any other solution? dtml maybe? :) i thank all for your help, pointers, docs. -- ------------------------------------------------------ http://www.kedai.com.my/kk Am I Evil?

Using ZopeEDIT with Notepad?

OK, so it's not my favourite editor but I thought I'd try Notepad with ZopeEDIT for the hell of it. Can anyone tell me what I should set EDITOR_CMD to? 'C:\WINNT\system32\notepad.exe' and 'C:\WINNT\system32\notepad.exe %s' don't do the job. (What's the %s for anyway?) TIA. ZODB Couldn't load state - help please

problem turning off permission acqusition

I have a file object (pdf type) which should be viewed only by a certain role. So I want to turn of the permission acquisition for anonymous users as they have view permissions in the top level folder. However when i I try to change it I get an Error error type : attribute error value: tag Can anybody shed some light on this ?
