For some strange reason, I have an object that I can not delete in a folder (nor can I delete the folder for this reason).. SQL methods in __init__

I would like to access some SQL methods (similarly defined as in the SQLSession product), but I can't seem to do it.. I have tried everything i can think of... Setting a flag for later addition is not really an option that I would want to do... I would think that this is a common enough problem that it can be solved easily.. Does anyone out there have any ideas? --John

corrupted objects within dbase

Hi! A few days aghou I posted into this list a mail with the title "corrupted dbase" Somebody has answered me off the list. I have moved in between and lost his adress. Get absolute_url() s

What I'd like to do is something like: <dtml-in objectValues> <dtml-var "_['sequence-item'].absolute_url()"><BR> </dtml-in> But this seems to try to render each object, rather than just executing absolute_url on it. Anyone know why? Anyone know how I should be doing this? cheers, Chris

Tree

Is there a way to change the look of a tree? ie. If you use <dtml-tree>, a html table will be created (Look at the source of the html page). Now, I would like to give the tree another look, i.e. color certain rows/cells etc. Unfortunately this seems not to be possible, just because <dtml-tree> tag always add it's own table source to the html-page. My question: Is there a create such a tree, but with my own html-tags? Thanks, Tom.

Zope and CSS

I am having a problem specifically with Netscape, CSS and Zope. I have read, re-read and double checked the Zope and CSS Howto(http://www.zope.org/Members/mindlace/css_zope) and am still having problems. Essentially I am trying to convert a website using CGI scripts and accessing a DB into a zope website. I've made pretty good gains, except for one thing: Netscape is not rendering the pages correctly. Internet Explorer works fine, and both browsers render correctly on the old website. Basically at the root of my folders I have two DTML methods (global_css_IE and global_css_NS) which I reference in my standard_html_header by (LINK rel="stylesheet" HREF="<dtml-var "global_css_NS.absolute_url()">" type="text/css") I know I'm getting it because I can look at the html from the page and see the address of the zope server in the HREF tag. However, some of my styles are not rendering in netscape, for example: (H2 {color: rgb(120,0,0);text-align: center;font: bold 16pt "Times New Roman";}) I have moved, changed and done everything I can think of to get this to work. I can copy the entire stylesheet from the old website (which works fine), put it into the dtml method, and it doesn't work! Thanks for any insight into this dilemna. Newbie DTML: How do you just declair a veriable.

I am sure that this has been asked before but for some reason I cant find the answer. I am developing a small application and in part of it I want one page to recursively call itself and display a new sub-page depending on which link was clicked on. I am trying to just create a variable that I can set to the new method but I always get an error. How do you just make an arbitrary variable. I tried <dtml-var somename> = <dtml-var somemethod> and it did not like that complained about there not being a somename well that's what I am trying to make. -Bryan

Also, one problem you may be having is the way netscape caches LINK. For testing purposes, it's best to a. turn off NS's cache and/or b. set it to zero.
