ZSQLMethod - Cache KeyError

When using ZSQLMethods we are seeing on occation a KeyError w/ the key value of a SQL statement. I assume this is related to ZSQLMethod caching, but don't know if it's a bug or simple something we've done wrong. We have a few SQL queries that potentially get hit repeatedly, so I've put a 300 second (5 minute) cache on them in the ZSQLMethod advanced options tab. This has had the desired effect of speeding up page serving when the page is accessed rapidly in succession. However we are now getting these KeyErrors once in a while. I'm wondering if the ZSQLMethod may have been expired out of cache, but somehow left behind some reference to it; or if it might just be a pure timing issue. The page is requested at the precise moment the cache cleaner is doing it's thing (not likely I'm guessing). Has anyone else seen this type of error: Error type: KeyError Error value: ("SELECT DISTINCT... Any ideas where to look for a fix to this, turning off cache for ZSQLMethod is only a quick fix not a solution for us. Nested DTML-IN ?

Hi I'm writing a procedure to build an HTML table. It takes two SQL queries A & B. A returns the actual data which will be displayed in the HTML table. B returns a set of records which dictates which columns in A to display. my pseudo-code is: for each record_in_A for each record_in_B display record_A[where column==column_B] next next I've no idea how it'll look like in Zope: <dtml-in query_A> <dtml-in query_B> <dtml-var sequence-item_A(sequence-item_B)> </dtml-in> </dtml-in> ??? So I think the questions I'm asking is 1. How do I reference individual members of a sequence-item 2. zclass inheritance and default index_html

Hi, I am a new user of Zope, and I am having the problem described below and I cannot find the answer in any of the documentation. Can anyone help me? I have a Zclass that uses the File Class as a base class. My Zclass has its own index_html method that provides the default view for the Zclass instances. This is what I want, but I find that I now do not have a way to view the file contained in an instance (evidently the only way to do this is to default to the index_html method of the file base class, which can only be accomplished if I remove the index_html that I created for my Zclass). I'd really like to use my own index_html and do two things: (1) have the contents of the file (in this case its a gif image) displayed inline with the other html my index_html generates (2) provide a hyperlink in my index_html that when clicked displays the contents of the file. (in this case the object contains large html/text files). I greatly appreciate your help! Vicki Irwin virwin(a)psionic.com

Netscape manages to completely screw up the rendering. </RANT> Anyways, have you checked the CSS bugs page at http://css.nu/pointers/bugs.html? It looks like you are trying to do things that Netscape can't do. Your H2 tag above could be rewritten as: H2 { color: #780000; text-align: center; font: bold 16pt "Times New Roman"; } and it should work. to class or not to class?

I reckon that: 1) Without ZClasses, I am lost 2) Without external methods using ZClasses, I am lost 3) to make 1) and 2) happen, I need to create new products hence 4) I need to ask my provider to let me install my own products (at a premium, of course, because it's a zope virtual server for me alone). Right? Why is it so? Is it a philosophical, political or technical choice? And again, sorry to bother you, but where can I understand the difference (and moral implications) between Python Methods and External Methods? I've read in the mailing list archive about some problems between Ext. Meth. and ZClasses, I can't find the post anymore. At the time, I didn't know that I needed ZClasses. Is there any truth? Worldpilot Date Funnies

Zopistas, My worldpilot is off it's rocker when it comes to "Event" dates. It thinks it's two days ago, despite the fact that <dtml-var "ZopeTime()"> gives me the correct date.
