Hi, I have been looking at Zope and working with it for a couple of months and I just love it. We have even started using it on production work. One client we recently had, asked us to modify every ocurrence of certain words in the whole Zope web site. Rather than change them by hand I decided to add a Replace tab to the Zope management interface. I did and it worked all right for my simple needs. The question is, does anything like this exist for the new release of Zope? If not, how could I integrate my work to the zope distribution? I created new files in the OFS directory and modified some other files on the App directory. What is the correct way to do this? Thanks for your feedback. Carlos de la Guardia Aldea Internet

DTML tags

I was just wondering why the new style dtml tags don't seem to follow the XML standard. For example, <dtml-var standard_html_header> can't be written as: <dtml-var name="standard_html_header"/> or: <dtml-var name="standard_html_header"></dtml-var> This seems to me (ignorant as I currently am of Zope's internals) an unnecessary restriction. My speculation is not entirely idle. It would pave the way, for instance, to enabling end-users to utilise an XML editor to manage content, or allow specialised XML-enabled applications to output DTML content. Can anyone throw any light on this? Thanks. David Trudgett

Site Access Counter

hi all, allow me to start by saying that i am relatively new to zope... i have made a web site in zope, but would like to have an access counter on it too. our zope2.1.6 server is running on redhat6.1 with apache1.3.9. i have seen access counter scripts that require perl5, but i have heard that those won't work with zope. can someone please help me?
