Hi I am trying to use ZTopic for categorizing obejcts in a Zcatalog. After specifying the criteria, when I try to view the list of topics, it gives me the traceback error: Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: Vocabulary Is there any bug fix for this? Thanks Priya Email: pra(a)baba9.com

"Missing" attribute with ZSQL methods?

If I write DTML that way: <td><dtml-var telephone missing="(No phone)"></td> and if "telephone" comes from a ZSQL method, "missing" is ignored even if the field was NULL (in SQL sense). Is it normal? Zope version: Zope 2.2.2 (source release, python 1.5.2, linux2) Python version: 2.0c1 (#2, Nov 24 2000, 11:08:10) [C] System Platform: osf1V4 PostgreSQL 7.0.3 (with Z PyGreSQL, ZPyGreSQLDA-0-0-3)

SQL delimiter?

Ive looked through the docs and Im sure I saw once (but cant see it now), some sort of delimiter between SQL statements allowing me to put multiple SQL statements in one SQLMethod. Was I imagining that? -- Andy McKay.

Excerpt (which struck a particular chord with me): "The learning curve of Enhydra is initially steeper but shallows out quite quickly. The Zope learning curve is very shallow and then increases exponentially to x to power infinity at which point your head valorizes. Of course to give Zope its karma back, Zope is more easily accessible to non-programmers whereas Enhydra is much less-so. The main reason behind using Enhydra on our most critical product to date, was that we knew we could do it with servlets, and that worst case, and given the structure of enhydra, we knew we could code our way out of any problems. Using Zope we knew that we would reach situations which may be unresolvable in the short term, and could not make significant business decisions with so many unknown factors and lack of any way to circumvent problems. exporting zope

Hi, I'm looking for the products who can make plain html-files from zope folders. Unfortunately, I can't find them anymore on the zope.org site. Probably I missed them, but are there people who know the names of these products/tools, for easier finding. Are there people who have experience with some of them. (good, bad). Yes, I know, this isn't the normal way to do it, but I'm stuck here. People force me to use a certain tool to create a html-page. But, the data can change a lot and I don't want to rewrite these pages over and over. So, I want to use zope objects and add object now and then. Then I produce some html-pages from my zope db... This way everybody is happy and hopefully one day I can convince them that they better use Zope than the other tool. Thanks in advance, Tom.

There are several solutions to this one. 1. Your ISP probably didn't remove the python1.5 build. 'python' is usually just a link to python1.5. If you install python 2.0 on top of it, the link will point to python2.0. So change the reference to python in the start script to be python1.5 instead, and it will work. If you removed your old 2.2.2 site, build the 2.2.5 one with 'python1.5 w_pcgi.py' 2. If python1.5 actually is removed, compile a version of 1.5 on your own with './configure --prefix=/path/to/your/home && make && make install'. Put that in your path, and use that version of python to build with. 3. Although not official, the CVS checkout of Zope (2.3.1beta+), does seem to work just fine with python2.0. But maybe that will break something else in the products that you are using. /Magnus (Is there no way to tell Outlook2000 to NOT send a message in html format EVER? :-P) My web site had been working until this morning for months without a problem. My web site had been working until this morning for months without a problem. When investigating the cause of the crush I found out that my ISP just upgraded to python 2.0 without my knowledge. My site is as far as I know the only zope site there. It does not start or build. I tried to upgrade to version 2.2.5 (I was running 2.2.2) without a success. This is what i got when trying to upgrade to version 2.2.5 :

Python Script unable to response to DTML method calls

I have a python script 'func' that has 'self' as the parameter. When I call it with: <dtml-var func> I got this error: not enough arguments; expected 1, got 0. That means the dtml call dosen't provide for the 'self' parameter as it would for other dtml methods or python methods(I rewrote 'func' in python method, and things work out!) I need to call python scripts that way (for I didn't write that dtml method), how can I do that or I have to write everything in python methods?
