Directories and subdirectories....

Hello again... :) In my example, below, the paremeter is a folder... but it only works (list the objects) if the folder is in the root directory, else doesn`t work. Hmm, couldn't you do something like http://www.zope.org/Members/kusako/AdvancedCataloging explains? i.e. just add a method to you zclass which converts the multiple selection property into the right type and returns that? And the just add the name of that method as a keyword index. cheers, oliver

getting rest of url path (after matching obj) from python script

Hello, is there a way to access URL path elements from python scripts? I am using a python script to inhibit acquisition and be able to use the rest of the URL path as a parameter (instead of using QUERY_STRING e.g.). That means i have a script called "frame" in the doc root and want to get the rest of the URL path: http://server.com/frame/rest/of/path using "return context.REQUEST.URL" just returns "http://server.com/frame" is there any way to get the rest of the URL? thanks --Oliver

Compiling on Mac OS X

I've rewritten this email three times now, finally deciding on bullet points, because we're all so busy :-) - I'm trying to compile Python 2.0 & Zope 2.3.0 on Mac OS X - Using instructions from http://www.zope.org/Members/jshell/ZopeOnOSX - Today's update to the document got Python installed correctly. Yeah! - Zope compiles and installs, gives me the admin password. Product that catches webdav PUTs and does something else

Folks, I'm trying to create a product (dtml-documentish) that will allow me to catch PUT requests from Netscape Composer so that I can clean up the mess that Composer makes of dtml before the upload is actually added to the ZODB. Is this feasible idea *without patching and Zope source*? Will Zope let me define a 'PUT' method in the product that gets invoked when an upload is tried? Or is the procedure pre-defined in the guts of Zope? Any help is much appreciated. Cheers Tim

I tried mapping the share and then use the LocalFS . The server is running on windows. I get the error : Error Type: OSError Error Value: [Errno 5] Input/output error Can any body help me , I am still a newbie coping with Zope's gargantuan features but lovely one's.
