When I try to access the mime type of an uploaded file .... <dtml-boundary type_expr="CVfile.headers.headers[1]" name_expr="CVfile.filename()" disposition=attachment encode=base64> I get this exception... An exception occurred in a DTML method or document. Error type: Unauthorized Error value: Access denied for ['Content-Disposition: form-data; name="CVfile:file"; filename="D:\\Arrivals\\Glossary.doc"\015\012', 'Content-Type: application/msword\015\012'] because its container, <rfc822.Message instance at 20112e0>, has no security assertions. What does this mean? What am I doing wrong? -- Thanks -- Loren

Running up and down the hierarchy

Hello to everybody! Supposed I have an object hierarchy looking like this: the_root------A-----Aa ---Ab(image) ------B-----Ba ---Bb------Bba ---Bbb(DTML document) A DTML document "Bbb" lying in folder Bb wants to access the image in Folder Ab. The only way I know how to do this is <dtml-with Bb> <dtml-with B> <dtml-with the_root> <dtml-with A> <dtml-var Ab> (or do whatever with it) </dtml-with> </dtml-with> </dtml-with> </dtml-with> Of course this sucks. The first thing I thought when I encountered this situation was "I might have to think over my folder structure". I did, but still have this situation in some situations, and for several reasons I want to leave some of my objects as indicated in the figure above(won't change it). Nesting a couple of with's does work, but I would rather like to do something like this: <dtml-with "Bb/B/the_root/A"> (or dtml-path_with...) <dtml-var Ab> </dtml-with> or maybe even <dtml-var "Bb/B/the_root/A/Ab"> (dtml-path_var... resp.) Is there something like this around? I took a look at the PathHandler product, but I don't have enough Zen (yet) for doing some __bobo_traverse__ magic myself (that's the entry point, right?). I guess a self-defined dtml tag that does the with-nesting (running the ladders) would do fine. How am I going to do this? Or are there other ways? I just want to make the dtml more readable (and shorter). Thanks so much in advance, Danny btw: Am I the only one in need for something like this?

Reloading a page.

Whatz up, guys? Well, I´m having problems in reloading a page that shows information contained in a table of a database. The problem is that whenever I include some data in the database at another page it send´s me back to that page that shows information, it doens´t show the update, but a cached page. I´m using the IE 5.0 and I haven´t figured out how to reload it every time without changing the configuration of the browser. I´ve tryed the same code that I´m using in IE 5.0 in IE 5.5 and this problem doens´t happen. Hope that you all could give me some help. Thank´s, Daniel C. Azevedo

New User: MS IIS and Exchange

Hello, My apologies if this has been answered before, I have searched the archives. I am evaluating Zope as a content management system for websites I run at a college. We currently run IIS and MS Exchange on an NT server. What I would like to know is this... Eventually I will want to start using Zope to serve the site/s but I imaging I will need to change the port number so it runs from http://www.ourhost.com/ rather than http://www.ourhost.com:8080/ But I am worried that if I change this it will cause the exchange system to fail many of our users access their e-mail using the Exchange webmail system at http://www.ourpost.com/exchange Does anyone else using IIS and exchange have some guidance they can offer. Very impressed with Zope so far! Phil

best postgreSQL adapter?

I'm curious as to which PostgreSQL zope adapter is most solid. I'm looking to build what will eventually have fairly heavy traffic database usage. Let's see...I found: psycopg/ZpsycopgDA ZPyGreSQLDA PoPy any others? psycopg mentions that it is designed for heavy multi threaded operations but popy seems more developed. I would appreciate any good input. Thanks

I designed the database and used mixed case names to improve readability. And my code originally used this same case as documented. But the database did not care about case. It converted silently all may mixed case names into upper case. Finally, I recognized this fact the hard way. Free Beginner Zope class (Washington, DC) Apr 4

I direct a nonprofit technology program in Washington, DC, and we are training 5 VISTA/Americorps Volunteers for a year-long project. Part of what they will be doing is desiging database-backed web site for youth- and family-oriented nonprofits. Of course, we plan to use Zope. Anyway, I'll be teaching them some basics of Zope on April 4th. Covered topics will be: FTPing to Zope sites using the management interface creating new DTML docs / Images / external files basic Zope security basic DTML It's a beginner class, to be sure, but will be followed by more advanced instruction later. The class will probably be full-day, probably 9:30-4:30 w/lunch on your own. Like everything our org does, we try to make things open and free where we can, so if anyone would be interested in coming, please let me know. We have limited space in our lab (and already have 5 scheduled students!). I'm offering priority to nonprofit organizations first, but anyone that's interested should let me know. If anyone has any teaching materials for Zope, of course, I'd love to know about it. (I have a 9-seat computer lab. If anyone can offer anything larger in Washington, DC, I could probably manage a class up to 15 or 20.) What are you doing with Zope?

I would be interested to learn what applications (Intranet, web site Management, specific projects etc.) people are developing using Zope and any benefits/limitations you may have found using zope. I work with the Open University library in the UK and we are going to use Zope to pilot a small Intranet for library staff. Thanks. David.
