OK, it seems nice. We also have a a heavy dependency to ZCatalogs, CatalogAwareness and Automatic Cataloging. How do I use the "mxm Easy product" in order to accomplish Automatic Cataloging for the _properties in my mxmItem class. Other than to write a product from scratch. If you have not tried that before, it can be simplified a lot by using: http://www.zope.org/Members/maxm/HowTo/easyProduct As this is devloped to work a lot like a zClass. Calling ZSQL methods with implicit arguments

Hi, Usign the dtml-in tag I can iterate over the results of a ZSQL method without explicitly passing the arguments, e.g: <dtml-in myZsqlMethod> ... </dtml-in> Now, what I want to do, is not to iterate but simply to store the Results object in a variable (in DTML or even in an External Method, I don't care), so I can later pass it as an argument to another method. However simple this looks, it seems that when I use the ZSQL method inside an expression I must use Explicit arguments, meaning I can't do something like <dtml-let results="myZsqlMethod"> ... </dtml-let> Is this possible? Am I missing somthing terribly obvious? Thanks in advance, Nuno

The records from the zsqlmethods or the zsqlmethod Results object, i.e, one list of <r instance at xyz> instances or a <Shared.DC.ZRDB.Results.Results instance at xyz> instance? Managing Zope with Lynx?

Howdy! Has anybody successfully used Lynx to work with Zope's management interface? It'd be very nice to be able to use it in some special cases (e.g. debugging on a no-X server where Zope is listening on the loopback interface only). But the submit buttons never worked when I tried. Ragnar

Unpckleable error

Hi all, I have updated my zope 2.4.0 installation to a zope 2.4.3. Everythong seems to work, until i try to add a zcatalog, a squishdot product or a zdiscussion product, where i get Unpickeable error messages or object is not callable (on the squishdot). Do I have to re-install these products? if yes ... How do I re-install Zcatalog??? Thanks in advance Vicente Castelló

Now we want to base our product on source code, in order to adapt to our CM-routines and to reduce the risks in having the code in the database. We want to change the implementation as little as possible. Does anyone have a proposal for a strategy for the transition? Strange, that was the first thing that I tried, but I thought it hadn't worked. The typing gremlins must have been at work again, or maybe I did it without the quotes, Doh! Restricting access to Python Scripts

Is there a strategy for restricting access to python scripts so that it can be accessed internally but not by calling the url through a browser? A user should be allowed to call a page template that utilizes the script but not call the script directly. I guess I'm looking at restricting the context by which a script is called. anyone? _______________________________ Brett Haydon
