Trouble with dtml-with

Thanks to all the helpful replies I had for my need for a "dynamic" <dtml-with>. "_.getitem(StringOfObject)" works beautifully. I have a similar additional newbie problem: FolderA FolderB FolderC FolderD Method1 Method1 (in FolderC) has no problem, of course, doing a <dtml-with FolderD> I cannot figure out how to <dtml-with> to get from Method1 (in FolderC) to code in FolderB. FolderB is parallel to Method1's parent (FolderC). Thanks for any help.

I would like to bring back the old issue because we did some tests and figured that the often-used idiom: if hasattr(myFolder.aq_explicit,object_id): #myFolder contains object_id #myFolder.aq_explicit prevents aquiring from above... does not always work as expected. It may return different result if, for example, the script is called as: otherFolder/myFolder/myFolder/script Please correct me if I am wrong but it would be better to say: if hasattr(myFolder.aq_inner.aq_explicit,object_id): #.... Python Service error

Hi, I just installed Zope 2.5 on a new Windows2000 system using the Professional version. I am seeing this error which does not drop the Zope service but prevents it from running. Any suggestions? It seems to work fine if I use start.bat. The description for Event ID ( 255 ) in Source ( PythonService ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: Stopping Zope.. I've had this problem recently too. I reported it to the list but nobody answered. Searching the archives I found one other person who had the same thing about six months ago. I've had it reoccur since. The only thing to do is to go through all your objects and make dummy changes to the things that are still locked to the version, then save the version again and they will then get saved. There are definitely bugs in the version stuff, but it seems to be fairly rare that it happens. I've been trying to reproduce the problem, but no luck so far. I'm using 2.4.3. Python traceback offsets?

I added <dtml-var error_tb> to my standard_error_message so I could get tracebacks. Unfortunately, the information displayed isn't always enough to tell me where the error actually occurred (e.g., "AttributeError... __call__" doesn't mention any actual objects in my script), and the line numbers are off by some amount because of the missing function stuff and the boilerplate comments placed at the head of the script when I edit it via ftp. Is there some sort of fixed offset I can use to calculate the actual line number of the error in my Python script? Alternately, can I tweak the <dtml-var error_tb> stuff to get a complete traceback which includes Python source? Hi, it's me again with my "oversized" problems... Everytime time I'm asking something , say create an image the action stops, and before I am able access the image_edit_form I'm getting a blank page with a text like http://127.0.0.1:8080/philosophie-africaine/Image.2002-11-12.2458/portal_for m/image_edit_form?portal_status_message=Image has been created. I have only this strange behaviour only under OPera 6.04, not Mozilla 1.0 nor explorer 6.0 I start with a fresh instance of Zope Zope-2.5.1-win32, I just update the CMF core branch to avoid the bug I met before nothing else: same thing! I didn't find any clues on http://collector.zope.org... I search on the web I find something which has similiraties Jose de Leon opera-users(a)opera.com Fri Sep 7 20:46:00 2001 Bug found with streaming content To Operat Developers and all concerned: There is a "kinda sorta bug" when Opera is served streaming content from sites powered by Zope. This may be present in other html content delivery systems. In some cases, the Zope server will send a Content length of 0 at the start of the stream when it should not be sending content length header at all. This will cause Opera to timeout and assume the page has finished. Symptoms are blank pages when the user expected content. This is obviously an error with the Zope engine. We have patched our local copies of Zope. However, IE and Netscape 4.77 are more forgiving. Netscape 6, Mozilla, or Opera is not. Might I suggest that Opera be more forgiving with streaming content when the Zope server sends content length of 0 and then sends data? I'm not even know whether the pb is related, a search engine can't help me much my English is too bad to give a name to what is happening to me, (in fact I must say as I am a newbie I cant find by myself "ce qui ne va pas" and try French keywords in the search engine)

File objects store in external file

Hi, I know how to use Image objects stored in external files, misc_={ "new_gif": ImageFile("icons/new.gif",globals()),... but, how can I use a normal file (text file - a CSS file) like this (without storing it as an Image file or DTML file)?! Thanks in advance, Rares
