Ah, true enough. I had to go look it up, but you're right. Thanks for pointing out my goof. You can assign a value attribute that determines what the *inbound* value of a checked box will (should) be. A useless feature, perhaps, but one that is most surely there. The value attribute still has nothing to do with whether the box is displayed as checked or how you catch the data and stuff it in your db... which still seems to be the problem faced by the original poster. The OP was trying to figure out why his forms weren't displaying the correct "values" for the checkboxes. Either he needed to know how to check for their state coming in or how to set it going out. Ultimately, the value attribute is germane to neither question and he seemed to expect it to do stuff it simply doesn't do. My apologies for any confusion. I should keep my Pocket Reference out when I post on HTML. :-) Dylan

If I call it with: http://localhost:/myProd/externalEdit/test, a not found error is printed I also have a pagetemplate eetest in the myProd-folder, which simply contains: <span tal:content="structure request"></span> If I call this with: http://localhost:/myProd/eetest/test the request is printed, with traverse_subpath ['test'] so what is the difference calling a pagetemplate and a products method ? Hi All, I'm new to Zope and using Zope 2.5.1. But due to some problem i'm not able to start the zope server . I also have Nuxeo CPS running on this sever . I've been using values on checkboxes since I have been building web forms....going on 10 years now... adding checked only determines whether it is checked or not be default when the form loads. If you have a bunch all named the same and several are checked, they are handled as a list of values with the name of "listname" or whatever you call it. Unless I have been using it wrong all this time...but it works like this now for me on many, many forms. DMTL-document as parameter to DMTL

Hi I want to be able to get the name of a DTML-document as a parameter to a DTML-method, so that I can display it the way I want. In other words, if I want to see foo.txt this way, I would use http://.....display?foo.txt How do I get the value of the parameter if display is a DTML-method? Batches in ZPT: not stateful, yet...

Greetings, I have a question about batches in ZPT (and in <dtml-in>, for that matter.) Given the stateless nature of HTTP, how is the batch itself persisted across calls to display a portion of the batch? For example, if I get a database search returning several hundred (or thousand) rows, of which I display 50 at a time, I (or Batch) presumably needs to cache those values somewhere: or is it assumed that the sequence will be regenerated within the bounds set?
