ZPT reading a file

This is probably a simple task, but its giving me a heck of a time. I've got a folder with some files in it. I'm using a PageTemplate to loop through the folder and pull the attributes of the templates out. I've got something like this: <div tal:repeat="item sorted_objects"> <div tal:content="item/title">title here</div> <div tal:content="item/title">author here</div> <div tal:content="structure item">content here</div> </div> The PageTemplates originally contained HTML, but I'm not so stuck on it that I can't use Structured Text instead (it doesn't seem to me that there is an html option for tal:content tags). Regardless of whether I use "structure" or "text", the content comes back as text when I view the page. I'm assuming this is because I'm accessing the item incorrectly. What would be the easiest way to get the content out of each item and use either structured text or just keep the HTML as well? Zope is just killing me right now--if this was plain ol' python I would have a look at dir(item) to see if there was a special attribute or method I needed. Thankfully I'm just learning zope on my own time, else I'd feel horribly useless instead of only terribly so ;-) The documentation seems lacking on the website, and on the net in general, as far as basic "heres how you do X" goes. Zopelabs is good, and one or two other sites I've found, but I know this has to be a really easy task. I appreciate any assistance. -- Jay Dorsey jay at jaydorsey dot com

Error with MailHost object

Hi, I am trying to send mails with the mailhost object using the 'send' method and, according to whether the SMTP server I use, sometimes it works and sometimes I have the following error : SMTPRecipientsRefused: {'sebastientessier(a)bbs-one.fr': (550, 'RCPT TO:<sebastientessier(a)bbs-one.fr> Relaying not allowed')} I use Zope 2.6.2 with windows 2000. If someone can explain this to me...

base href

I'm having a problem with LocalFS, HTML files, and the <base href> that gets added to pages. But I feel, at its source, Zope is just being nuts. HTTPResponse.insertBase inserts <base href> to pages; in turn, this base is set in HTTPResponse.setBase, where it ensures that the base always ends in "/". This causes paths to grow, as leaf pages (non-directory pages) get treated like directories. This is annoying in normal Zope objects, but LocalFS objects don't seem to acquire parents, so the extra elements in the URL that point to a LocalFS are just broken. While these growing URLs seem to be a persistent problem for many people in Zope, I assume there is a way that the paths *should* work. What do people do to get rid of these? Is there a way to keep HTTPResponse from adding a <base href> at all? Streaming video/audio through a Zope site

Hi there, What are possible solutions for offering streamed resources on a Zope site? I was thinking of running Zope behind Apache and get some other product to handle the streamed content. That way Zope serves content the usual way and the links to the streamed content points to the streaming media server software (all behind Apache, so it "looks" like it is coming from the same site). Does this solution sound viable, and are there any suggestions on the software to use as the streaming server - preferably Linux, not too expensive and something that streams a well known format and which can work with Apache. Any suggestions? Thanks Etienne
