Strange folder creation

Noticed lately that folders have been showing up in odd locations with odd names like: XYIZNWSK or some variation. And always owned by me. And no contents. And sometimes in folders I have not been in in months. Has anyone seen anything like this? Allen

I did as you suggested, but I am afraid I am still a newbie at the python scripting. What I did was setup two scripts: filter_tree_nodes pres_docs_get_url And replaced 'root' with my localfs folder name (zinesfolder). I setup pres_docs_get_url with 4 parameters, but I don't know which to setup for sure. Are these correct? item_id, item_ext_list, item_name, root_url I still get nothing for objects in the folder. As a newbie to Zope I am trying to develop a simple Zope site. Looking at zope.org, I was wondering how 1. The user registration script works? (http://www.zope.org/Register/register) 2. The "Printable Page" script works? (something/pp=1) 3. The "Feedback to Author" script works? (something/feedback_form&came_from...) Hi, I want to build an html table based on the results of an LDAP query style ldap://ldap.abcd.fr/ou=people,dc=esrf,dc=fr??sub?(description=*Id17*) within a dtml method. How do I go about this? Do I have to install a LDAPUserFolder? If someone has a link to a good howto I would be very grateful (haven't yet found anything for the newbie I am!) I thought that the Zope team would be interested... ;-) Anyway, since some operations done in the interface brings functionality back it is something at least partially Zope. The only major problem is that it is not predictable! You can sometimes do tens of open/save from HomeSite and nothing goes wrong! I've dumped some of the traffic towards the machines but I didn't had time to analyze it. It looks like IE's requests leave the XP workstation arrive at the Zope server but the Zope remains silent... :-|

Debugging and Environment Variables

I am stuck on a minor problem that someone here could probably help me with. I have posted this a few times now and gotten no answers so ANY help is greatly appreciated. Newbie (again) using PIDDLE with Zope

Hi, I asked a question about this a few weeks ago, and didn't get very far, so I have a more specific question for anyone using PIDDLE with Zope (or anyone else with any ideas): I am using Zope 2.5.1, Win 2000 (sorry), PIDDLE 1.0.15. As you will soon learn I am quite new to Zope, and Python, and even OOP as a whole, so please bear with me! I am hoping to use piddle to generate PDF documents on-the-fly, and the current train of thought is: in response to a user request, create a PDF document in a localfs instance, then open that document. I am currently trying to just get testpdfgen.py to work from inside Zope, as an external method. (For those unfamiliar with piddle, this should just create a test pdf document, demonstrating that it works). I have changed testpdfgen.py only very slightly - giving a (hopefully) valid filename in the localfs instance for file creation. testpdfgen is in the Extensions folder, and a few methods it requires (pdfgen, pdfutils, pdfdoc, pdfgeom, pdfmetrics) have been copied into my_Zope_Instance/bin/lib. I have an external method in Zope, called testpdfgen, which is linked to the run function in testpdfgen.py.
