Hi, i have been playing round with this insert/update script on zope/mysql and keep recieving the following error...any idea's on how to get rid of this would be muchly appreciated? -------------------------------------------------------------------- Error, _mysql_exceptions.ProgrammingError: (1064, "You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'ON DUPLICATE KEY update charts set \n plays=plays + 1\n\twhere title='wayne'' at line 14") -------------------------------------------------------------------- the ZSQL used is below -------------------------------------------------------------------- insert into charts (title, artist, genre, album, plays) VALUES ( ,  ,  ,  , plays=1 ) ON DUPLICATE KEY update charts set plays=plays + 1 where title=<dtml-sqlvar title type=nb> and artist=<dtml-sqlvar artist type=nb>

zope 2.7 with python 2.3

I have the simple question: Why not? zope 2.7 is said to be based on python 2.2, but wouldn't it be nicer to base it on python 2.3, so the coming zope 3 and the zope 2.7 would share this big issue (backporting, and..) Stephan

Using RegEx in Script(Python)

Hi, I wanted to know if the above can be done? What I need is a function that replaces every character of a string, that is not in [a-zA-Z1-9] with an underscore. I want to use this to automatically create an Object-Id from a title, to create a new Object. If this is not possible directly within a Script(Python), can it be done using an ExternalMethod? getSlice error in wiki folder with many objects?

I thought maybe the problem below was related to running zope 2.3.2. But experimenting on my laptop with v2.5.1 doesn't seem to help, either. This makes it impossible to change object properties, etc. ------ I get this when I try to view a particular folder through the ZMI. I suspect I have too many items in the folder. I'm running zope 2.3.2, and don't want to change right now (until I make some zwiki code changes). Is there a workaround? Or a hack to add/copy a DTML document into the folder? The only problem I have with using QueuedCatalog is that not all my objects are CatalogAware. I have one container object that is, its subobjects are not. I am creating my full text index using a script that digs into the subobjects to pull out the data. I have programmatic calls to 'reindex_object' after a propertysheet is changed and when an object is added, moved, renamed or deleted. Is the QueuedCatalog still a good option for me? Will it detect the change in a subobject if the index is defined by a method that will dig into the subobjects? Or will I have to find a way to handle this on my own? More dtml-in sequenceing and cocatenation

I have a statment which outputs a sequence of form checkbox string pairs, from a MySQL source: <dtml-in SQL_getMath> <input type="checkbox" name="dance_<dtml-var sequence-number>" value="1" <dtml-if expr="'math_' + _['sequence-number'] == 1"> checked </dtml-if>> </dtml-in> This does not work quite right. What i need is to cocatenate, in the dtml-if expr, the string 'math_' with the number generated by sequence number in the loop. Based on that evaluation, the checkbox is checked or not. Any ideas on how to get this working? I can't seem to make much sense of the Zope Book explanation.
