Why do you want to recode into DTML? I think that is piece of good code and much faster than DTML. Need to programmatically change image content

Hello, I need to programmatically replace the 'content' (e.g. the image file data, if I grok correctly) of an Image object with new data via file upload from web form. I imagine I could just delete the existing object and then add the new one... Active Zope threads and connection cache size

Does the size of the connection cache need to grow when Zope runs more threads. I currently am running 8 threads (default 4). I note that the current OODB connection cache size is FIXED at 7. Do I need to increase the size? I would have guessed the connection cache should be somewhat larger than the number of threads and that it should be set dynamically. Can anyone hazard a guess as to what it should be? twice the number of threads? more? I am running Zope 2.6.3b2 but I think the same question is relevant for all versions of Zope.

Mozilla Hate My zClasses

I have created a 2 zClasses, one that is a CatalogAware File, one that is a CatalogAware Page Template. I recently noticed a most peculiar problem. Mozilla browsers cannot "Save Link As..." any content that is one of these zClasses "The Link Could Not Be Saved. The Web Page Might Have Been Moved or Renamed". Perusing the logs, I'm noticing that Mozilla browsers HEAD the files before they try to download them. Medusa returns 405 - Method Not Allowed for this command on these zClasses. Internet Explorer just skips straight to the GET, which works fine. How can I fix this? I have some idea where a HEAD method would need to go, but I'm not really sure what should be in it. Ed

How do I get product to return other than ZMI page?

Hello, I have created a product using mxmObjectManager as a base. I have a web form so a client can add these objects to folders from outside the ZMI. It works, but always returns the ZMI manage_main page (without left nav frame) for the folder the object was added to. Instead, I want to return to the empty 'add object' web form to add another. The web form invokes a python script to get to the manage_addAction method in the product: # pertinent pythonscript code request = container.REQUEST RESPONSE = request.RESPONSE context.manage_addProduct['myProduct'].manage_addAction(request.id,request) from the mxm README example, for manage_addAction I am using def manage_addAction(self, id=None, REQUEST=None) "Add instance to parent ObjectManager" mxmObjectManager.addClass(self, id, myProduct, REQUEST) ...plus it then sets properties of the added object and creates some StructuredDocument objects inside the added object. That all works fine. However... No matter what code I put in to try and return something else - at the end of manage_addAction or in the python script that calls it - the result is that the ZMI manage_main page is what I always get back. I'm guessing that the manage_addProduct['myProduct'] in the script is somehow hijacking the return from manage_addAction and returning the ZMI page...??
