Keyword index negative query

Hi, I'm using Zope-2.6.1 with ZCatalog and several Keyword indexes. How can I make a query on a KeywordIndex to get objects for which a given value is not found ?? Typically, each of my objects is identified by a globally unique ID (OID) ; an object can keep a reference to another object through an "oid_refs" property (a list), which is indexed in a keyword index. What I want is to be able to find, for example, objects of a given meta-type, eventually stored in a given folder, which are NOT referenced by other objects. Refresh causes spinning Zope (bug with my Product?)

I am runnning Zope-2.7.0/Python-2.3.3/ZEO on Linux and have been having problems with refreshing a Product that I wrote in-house. Upon refreshing, Zope stops responding, and Apache/FastCGI eventually times out waiting for a response. This was also a problem with Zope-2.6.4/ZEO but not Zope-2.4.3/ZEO; but the machines and custom-product code also changed between 2.4.3 and 2.6.4. Authentication problem with Zope 2.6.1

Hello all, I'm trying to disable anonymous access on Zope 2.6.1, but every time I do, everything below the level of the folder I make this change to becomes inaccessible even with a proper username and password. That is, if I disable anonymous access to a Plone site under Zope, that Plone site can no longer be accessed no matter what username and password is tried, though objects higher in the directory tree are fine. If I make the change to Zope's root folder, all of Zope becomes inaccessible, even with an admin password created in zpasswd.py, and I have to restore the entire installation from a backup to get back in again. Aside from this, passwords seem to be working fine--I enter a password to access the Manage screen, for example, and it works as I'd expect. I'm trying to disable anonymous access by going to the Security tab, unchecking "Anonymous" and "Acquire permission settings" everywhere "Anonymous" is currently checked, and replacing that with "Authenticated." The username I'm trying to log in with has all the necessary permissions. This problem occurs whether I'm accessing the site through Apache (using mod_rewrite and mod_ssl) or directly on port 8080. Session and IE problem

I've build a site that uses sessions. The setting is: 1) a web redirection to our ip: www.asite.com -> 123.45.67.89:8080 2) apache redirects with mod_rewrite to Zope 3) Zope is called with 123.45.67.89:8080/Store and sends 123.45.67.89:80 back 4) the user has to log in and the session is created Except of IE (I test it with version 6) all the browsers are working fine. When I call 123.45.67.89:8080 directly also IE is working.. What can I do? I've just searched for hours the archive...

Zope install error on Fedora Core 1

Hello. I am installing Zope 2.7 on Fedora Core 1. First, I have installed the Python python2.3-2.3.3-2pydotorg.i386.rpm alongside the existing Python 2.2. That went well. Then I began the zope install with: "./configure --prefix=/var/zope" That worked: "The optimum Python version (2.3.3) was found at /usr/bin/python2.3." Then I ran: make Which died with the error: "error: invalid Python installation: unable to open /usr/lib/python2.3/config/Makefile (No such file or directory) make: *** [build] Error 1" I have no idea how to proceed. Thanks for all of the advice. Does anyone know of a way to take the windows credentials that the user is signed onto the local machine with and pass those to zope for authentication? Zope Product - zipfile not compressing

Hello folks, I wrote a custom zope product that I wanted to use create a zip archive from some of the files on the filesystem and then send this zipfile as a download. The product works, the zipfile gets created and all the files are there, only there appears to be no compression at all. Everything is just stored. Here is how I create the archive: zip = zipfile.ZipFile(file_name, mode='w', compression=zipfile.ZIP_DEFLATED) then I keep adding with writestr: zip.writestr(zinfo, obj_data) any thoughts? thanks and best regards. Deleting objects

What happened to object in ZODB when I del this? Is this object mark for undo isnt it? How can I clear Zope Recycle bin? And how I can modify manage_beforeDelete func to cancel del-operation(click on Delete button)? Regard, Serg

zope and pychart

Hi Zope users. Please excuse another dumb question. I wish to produce some dynamic graphs inside Zope to display biological data. I am using pychart, this is clean and IMO has the best looking output for least amount of effort. I can produce graphics by writing a .png file to disk, and then reading it back to return to the client as RESPONSE. This is not optimal - why do I bother writing something to disk, to read it again to delete it? I have had a play using cStringIO, but cannot make this work. Does anyone have any pointers or examples of how I can create graphics in PyChart and display them using Zope without needing to write binary intermediates to the filesystem?
