more workflow products ?

Hi There ! Does anybody know some more workflow products than DCWorkflow of CMF, OpenFlow or OOPServer ? They are not really appropriate to my intentions. I'm searching something working near to the base of Zope, sufficient for a really simple Workflow (with only one or two controlling instances for example). I don't only want to handle content, but also handle object changes in the ZODB within the workflow, that's my problem. I am thankful for every further product tipp told to me. Uwe

Kupu Configuration - LibraryDrawer d'ont work

Hi all, I installed and configured kupu-1.1beta2 on zope 2.6.1 on suse linux. Everything works fine without the Image and Linklibrary Popup. With Mozilla I get the following error: Error: [Exception... "'No Stylesheet Document was provided. (original exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER) [nsIXSLTProcessor.importStylesheet]" nsresult: "0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER)" location: "JS frame :: anonymous :: line 268" data: no])' when calling method: [nsIOnReadystatechangeHandler::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x8057001e (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_STRING)" location: "<unknown>" data: no] Perhaps its a configuration problem. newbie question - python-ldap

Hi all, I installed plone2 on a RedHat9(Python2.2 comes with the OS itself) by following the instruction from http://longsleep.org/howto/rh9-python233 with no problem. Now I have some questions regarding the python-ldap installation. According to the "HowToActiveDirectory" http://plone.org/documentation/howto/HowToActiveDirectory from Plone.org 1. Install LDAP for Zope 2. install the openLDAP RPM's 3. openldap-2.0.27-2.8.0 4. openldap-devel-2.0.27-2.8.0 5. Install python-ldapwget http://www.open-it.org/download/redhat7.2/RPMS/python-ldap-2.0.0pre05-1.i386 .rpm (couldn't find API for RedHat9 either) 6. rpm -i python-ldap-2.0.0pre05-1.i386.rpm (get dependencies error message, tried with --nodeps but installed in /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/ instead of /usr/lib/python2.3/...../) 7. cd $ZOPEBASE/lib/python2.1 8. ln -s /usr/lib/python2.1/site-packages/_ldap.so . Is there any other way to install python-ldap API on RedHat9 with Plone2+Python2.3? Any comment/suggestion is welcome Thanks for your time JH

Zope security and session object

Hi, I've got an external method that calls a SOAP transaction. It returns an array object with an imbedded array. Problem with SESSION

Hi, I have Problem with REQUEST.SESSION, I habe Mozilla and Internet Explorer, I run easy DTMLMethod in Mozilla, which sets REQUEST.SESSION: <dtml-if "REQUEST.SESSION.has_key('foo')"> This will be printed. <dtml-var "REQUEST.SESSION.get('foo')"> <dtml-var "REQUEST.SESSION.get('czas')"> <dtml-else> <dtml-call "REQUEST.SESSION.set('foo', 'bar')"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.SESSION.set('czas',ZopeTime())"> </dtml-if> An essentially arbtrary Then I run other Mozilla with the same DTMLMethod and REQUEST.SESSION is already sets, but it shouldn't be sets, so I suppose it depend on Mozilla, with IE everything goes ok, it mean new Internet Exporer new SESSION Object, I make Portal for 200 Users and for each User at logging to Portal I should to save information about user, Is something better than SESSION Object to keep date about user and then to delete it after logout, maybe someone help me, thanks for help, regards, Adam

Downloaded the Zope2.7 source code Ran configure with a prefix option Ran make Ran make install Ran mkzopeinstance.py gave a different directory for instance and provided username and password Now when I try to run the runzope it gives me segmentation fault. There is no log file no Data.fs created. Any ideas how to proceed. Thanks Niranjan Patel

Here is an example that I have used successfully. In some other directory, put a file containing the python code that you wish to execute. For example - Zope Extensions ...(other Zope directories) YourProject __init__.py YourPythonFile.py Data The __init__.py file turns that directory into a Python "package". "Data" is a subdirectory. In the __init__.py file, put code similar to the following - import os.path BASEPATH=os.path.dirname(__file__) DATA_PATH=os.path.join(BASEPATH,'Data') Now put YourProject into the Python path. There are several ways to do this, but the easiest is to write the absolute path to the directory on one line in a .pth file - say "project.pth". Put this file into the same directory as Zope's Python executable. In your external method, place code similar to the following - from YourProject import BASEPATH, DATA_PATH from YourProject import YourPythonFile.YourFunction Now the paths and functions are available to the whatever external method code you wish to write. I recommend just computing the right directories and calling the module's code, something like this - Import os.path def external_method(filename): yourPythonFile.yourFunction(os.path.join(DATA_PATH,'data.txt')) Of course, you can pass the REQUEST or whatever else you like as well. Serious problem with PlacelessTranslationService

The latest ZWiki requires PlacelessTranslationService so I installed the latest version (1.0fork-rc7). XML-RPC and dates

Hi, maybe this is a FAQ? But I didn't find anything in the archives. I would like to include dates in my xml-rpc answers. Zope gives me an error "long int exceeds XML-RPC limits". In my Script (Python) I am not allowed to import the DateTime class from xmlrpclib. Do I really have to use external methods? Thanks Ulrich
