Current Folder

I want to use a Python script within Zope to create a document. If I have a folder that I want to create it in--no problem, I use getattr and use the name of the folder. The problem occurs if I want to use the current directory instead. What is need is to use something like getattr with the current directory name. Since I've been working on/off for weeks on this, I wanted to put this out there for assistance. Gregory

Subpath versus POST body

Hello, I'm having trouble getting two features to work together. I spent the best part of a day trying to find uploaded POST data. I've seen lots of references to a BODY attribute, but my request objects don't seem to have one. Using REQUEST.stdin does seem to work, but only on ExternalMethods, not PythonScripts. What is the correct way to access POST data, and can it be done in PythonScripts? Being forced to use ExternalMethods, then, I found I was unable to use traverse_subpath, even with "##bind subpath=traverse_subpath" in my external script. For a given object, /foo/bar (where bar is an external method), a request to /foo/bar/123 would cause Zope to be unable to publish the object. Is it possible to use these two features together? (Preferably in a PythonScript rather than an ExternalMethod.) If not, it looks like I'll have to resort to using external methods and site access rules. Zope version is 2.7.2. Configuring Zope 2.7 for rotating file logger

After installing Zope 2.7+ I discovered it's using the Python logging system rather than the medusa logger. Can Zope 2.7+ be configured to use the ZServer.medusa.logger.rotating_file_logger for "Access" logging, or some other rotating logger? I noticed that the Python logger has a rotating logger, however, it only works on file size rather than frequency (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly, etc.). That's not adequate for my needs.

Page Template parser

Hi! I would like to know if there are some kind of code the clean Page Template parser response I normally use the same type of structure in PT: Date definition first / Rendering code last The parser nature (I supose regular expresion search) don't replace \t and \n and if you see the resultant code it's very dirty For normal PT there are not problem (I prefer clean things but...) but in sindication files, etc... Did you know some kind of script to clean PT parser response? Thanks!!!!!

Hi I am developing a timesheet system. It will have 3 levels of access 1)Administrator 2)Approver -- Will approve or reject the timesheet filled by employees 3)Employees -- Fill in the timesheet which will ontain info like start time & end for task & task description. There will be different projects with different employees & approvers Also I need to genrate reports like timesheet for an employee for this particular week or month.Or timesheet of a project etc.. Is zope suitable for such kind of application? I read the zope book & now I am more confused. Overhead of second instance of Zope

I was thinking of having two instances of Zope, one for test and one for production on the same server. How much overhead would a second instance use just by starting it rather than using it? -- John
