Epoz interface not showing in my web page...

I have integrated Epoz module into my product director and reboot ZOPE. At first it was alright at first, but I started getting call telling me that all the Epoz module shows is the "save change button". I had a look through my browser and it was alright, but it just display anything besides the botton on some computers... Can anyone tell me what is wrong? --------------------------------- Yahoo! Question about Stepper

Pardon my stupidity but is Chris Withers' Stepper the right thing for me...? I've got a message central that accepts and sends messages. The system has an in-part and and out-part that is quite separate. Then there's third party code that looks a bit like this: <pseudocode> def acceptIncomingMessage(self, message): # add to the queue self.getMCentral().storeMessage(message) # process all (should be only one) items off the queue self.getMCentral().sendAllUnsent() return "cool" </pseudocode> The call to sendAllUnsent() I would prefer if it was done asyncronously in case it takes several seconds. I could accomplish this by having a cron job calling it every 5 minutes but ldeally I don't want to rely on cron for this setup. DateTime mess

hi all! recently i came up here with the intention to fix DateTime#strftime(). while trying this, i had to dig deeper and deeper into the implementation of DateTime and especially the timezone and daylight saving stuff. to be honest, it's completely hacked together :( DateTimeZone.py has one BIG dictionary in it, not a single line of comments. values of this dict are nested lists, among other hackish things (list like usage of a string, with \000 as separator). the methods that use this dict also have no comments/docstrings at all. obviously the guy(s) that originally wrote this, is/are hiding (i know why :) so, there's nobody to ask either... sorry guys, i won't be able to completely fix this for now. i found a way to monkey patch zope to make it work for my case (2 timezones only). my plan is to completely reimplement DateTime, based on python's datetime in my own freetime (maybe around xmas this year) and give it back to the community. once again sry, if i raised expectations on the fix of strftime. regards, juergen herrmann _______________________________________________________________________ >> XLhost.de - eXperts in Linux hosting << Jürgen Herrmann Bruderwöhrdstraße 15b, DE-93051 Regensburg Fon: +49 (0)700 XLHOSTDE [0700 95467833] Fax: +49 (0)721 151 463027 WEB: http://www.XLhost.de

Error Executing runzope Command

Hello. I just installed Zope 2.7.0 on Mac OS X Tiger and I running it with MacPython 2.3.3. I installed Zope in /usr/local. Now, when I try to execute './runzope' or './zopectl start', I receive the following error: Fatal Python error: PyThreadState_Get: no current thread Has anyone experienced this before? If so, could you please tell me why this error is being thrown? Thank you. - Asad

Stepper 1.4.0 Released!

Stepper is a framework for scripting and running asynchronous tasks on Zope servers. This is a new release fixing several bugs and introducing some minor new features. The major changes for this release were: - A bug was fixed which prevented run.py from being used. - Chains can now be nested within chains. - Transaction control is tighter, making sure objects aren't left in an inconsistent state. - Error handling and progress feedback have been improved. Zope's Webdav port for RESTful web service

Hi. I am looking at how to implement a RESTful web service in Zope2. Has anyone implemented such a thing that could provide any advice. Is it possible just to use the existing webdav port for this to provide a dedicated port? The only thing close I can think of at the moment is SchoolTool but it is a Zope3 implementation. Psycopg export/import

As part of an object, I have exported several zsql methods from Zope 2.2.2 and imported to Zope 2.6.2. In the later version I am using Psycopg as a database connection to Postgres. It is working fine for all ZSQL methods I have created within 2.6.2. However, the methods I imported from Zope 2.2.2 do not connect to the database. Message is "Warning: The database connection for this method cannot be found!". However, the Connection ID is shown and all appears to be in place. An ideas? Thanks in advance.

How do I determine which version of Plone/Zope I am using? Is there a version file somewhere in the Zope hierarchy? I can't seem to find one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. - Asad
