Hi again, Now on to my next problem.. I have tried the below code to send off a spreadsheet as an attachment and am getting a dat file and a 232B file that can't be read. Here's the code from zopelabs.com appropriated to my own info: <dtml-sendmail mailhost=MailHost> To: chris(a)hssc.com From: chris(a)hssc.com Subject: some subject <dtml-mime type=application/msexcel encode=base64> Content-Disposition: inline; filename="ics.xls" <dtml-boundary name=ics.xls type=application/msexcel disposition=attachment encode=base64> </dtml-mime> </dtml-sendmail> I thought they type was supposed to be application/vend.msexcel I've tried both ways tho but to no avail. HELP!! Data.fs corrupted

Hi, Our server crashed and wouldn't boot up. Fortunately, we had backups of of Data.fs on another server .. so I installed Zope 2./7.4/Plone 2.0.5 on another server and used repozo to try to restore Data.fs: ./repozo.py -Rv -r /temp/recover -o Data.fs However, when I start up Zope, I get: 2005-08-31T01:20:21 PANIC(300) ZODB FS FS21 ERROR: /home/zope/ssoi/var/Data.fs data record exceeds transaction record at 54956706 .... .... ZODB.FileStorage.CorruptedTransactionError: /home/zope/ssoi/var/Data.fs data record exceeds transaction record at 54956706 I've tried restoring from a few days ago using the "-D" option, but I get the same problem. Am I totally hooped or is there some way to recover??? Please, please help!! Thanks in advance, Paul

SaneBrains patches ZCatalog's brain objects such that they don't unnecessarily catch exceptions. upgrade 2.5.1 to 2.7.5 causes error in product code

Hello, I have just migrated some custom products from 2.5.1 to 2.7.5, meaning from python 2.1.3 to 2.3.5. I have this bit of code in the index_html page template in the product, which rendered just fine in zope 2.5.1/python 2.1.3: <span tal:condition="python:here.sponsors[0] != ''" tal:omit-tag=""> <h4>Sponsors</h4> <span tal:repeat="line here/sponsors" tal:omit-tag=""> <h5 tal:content="line" /> </span> </span> sponsors is a lines property in the custom product, like so: {'id':'sponsors', 'type':'lines', 'mode':'w'}, Now, in zope 2.7.5/python 2.3.5, I get an error on this part of the above code: python:here.sponsors[0] != '' as follows: Exception Type IndexError Exception Value tuple index out of range Can anyone tell me what's up with this? Err. I dont think you need repozo to use your backup Data.fs. You should just be able to put (a regular file copy) of your backed up Data.fs in place.

zope 2.8 command line tracebacks

The 2.8 version of zope no longer displays tracebacks in the terminal window (after excecuting ./runzope). It just stops execution at any errors. I am trying to troubleshoot a page that is called from another server, so I do not get to view the error document. I have debug mode turned on. Is there any way I can get this information? It is ok if it ends up in a logfile, but output to shell (like previous zope behaviour) is preferred. I am linux (x86) using a zope built from sources. Thanks for any tips. -e

I tried using orig_title in the format <dtml-var orig_title> in the called dtml-method (category_results) and I get a zope error which I don't understand: *Error Type: TypeError Error Value: sequence index must be integer* When I call it in the orignal page which I want the title for it works fine. redirecting logs

I want to direct the Z2.log file to both a local file and to a remote machine. I think the configuration might be something like this: <logger access> level WARN <logfile> path $INSTANCE/log/Z2.log format %(message)s </logfile> <syslog> address 192.168.0.92:514 format %(message)s </syslog> </logger> but it does not seem to function correctly. Has anyone tried this? Any assistance would be appreciated. This is Zope 2.7.6. --

adding property to new Folder: can't pickle module objects

Hello everyone, again I'm stuck :-( I have a python script that looks as follows: results=[] for ids in context.objectIds('Folder'): results.append(ids) newid = str(int(max(results)) + 1) context.manage_addProduct['OFSP'].manage_addFolder(newid, title="person") newaddr=getattr(context, newid) newaddr.manage_addProperty("test", "test", string) return 0 When I run it it returns the error: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: can't pickle module objects It looks like as if the Folder doesn't get created when the manage_addProperty() function tries to modify it. If I comment out the line with the manage_addProperty() function the folder however gets created and newaddr has as sensible value. Please help me to clarify this. Thanks in advance Roman

I am trying to pass the title of a page to a dtml method which is in another folder named links. If I pass the actual title like below everything works. However, when I try to pass the value of the current title to category_results using various other methods it does not. What is the syntax so that I can pass the current value of <dtml-var title> to the method? Would the dtml-with block change the namespace it pulls the title variable from to the context of the method category_results in the links folder? <dtml-with links> <dtml-comment>This line works</dtml-comment> <dtml-var "category_results(_.None, _, title1='Hannoverian Stallions Lauries Crusador ')"> </dtml-with>
