Has anyone tried using this method: http://www.zope.org/Members/Mamey/PHP I am little confused about how to serve the actual php content within the files. I added file with this: <dtml-if "REQUEST.has_key('phpScript')"> <dtml-var "ServePHPContent(REQUEST['phpScript'])"> </dtml-if> Then I tried to begin the php content after this and saved it as file.php3. However, when I view zope doesn't render it. --Sharif

Javascript rendering problem?

Hello, i've what i think is a rendering problem checked on Zope 2.8.5 and Zope 2.9 (tried on unix and windows os): download from microsoft website the sdk for Windows Media Center (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/mediacenter/developer/default.mspx) Inside there is a folder called HTML Templates. There you can find some html pages designed to be seen on media center. You can normally view them using IE. Now transfer the entire directory inside Zope; if you open the default.htm files the highlight of buttons and objects is not anymore working. IE doesn't complain about any errors, it just don't work. I've tried uploading the same directory to Apache and pages are working. These files are full of javascript but i really can't understand what's happening. Thanks, Bruno

virtualhost/apache2 problem

Hello, I'm trying to set up apache2 to serve two sites, a "normal" one on www.mysite.com and a zope one on www.mysite.com/zope (using rewrite rules). I already know how to put apache2 in front of zope, but in this situation something doesn't work: I read every howto's but when connecting to http://www.mysite.com/zope I get a 404 error from apache2: it seems like mysite.com comes first, so if there is no "zope" folder (actually it doesn't exist), it gets an error. I hope someone can help me. This is my apache2 configuration file. starter application for zope 2.x

Does anybody have a zope 2.x application that you usually use to start building products with? I have combed the products at zope but they generally are built to demo a particular functionality. I am looking for an application that ties a lot of ideas together such as: 1. something that covers users registration, 2. building tables out of data stored in zodb, 3. getters and setters for objects in the zodb, 4. How to collect a variable in one page and pass it on to another page where it modifies the data displayed, 5. working with Sessions, etc. 6. coverage of the most commonly used DTML snippets 7. coverage of the most commonly used ZPT snippets 8. Test framework with setup scripts I guess what I'm looking for is a template for a real application, not for the individual pieces of functionality. I imagine that some of you who do full time zope development would have at least two of these "starter" applications, One for when the data is primarily stored in the zodb and one for when the data is primarily stored in a relational db. I think an application like this would help people get up and running with building (and testing) zope products. Also, it would help if the products on zope.org where ranked in some way so newbies like me can know what the community has found to work well. Thanks, Tim

Templating language but not XMLish nor DTML

In zope2... I love ZPT for XMLish content like HTML but I'm not that excited about DTML which I use for zopeifying .css and .js files and email texts.
