Hello, I've been searching for a solution on how to integrate my actual database of users (in MySQL) with the Zope authentications machinery. I found some old instructions (2001) using LoginManager and zPatterns but I would like to hear from you about the alternatives. Currently I'm using my own authentication method but with this I'm loosing a lot of Zope features. Zope 2.9 MySQl 4.1 Using reverse proxy with Pound Any suggestions? Hi I am trying to install Zope 2.9.3 or 2.9.1 on Suse 10.1 and this is what I get: error: must supply either home or prefix/exec-prefix -- not both make: *** [install] Error 1 Any ideas what to do? I am pleased to announce the release of TextIndexNG V 3.1.10 TextIndexNG V 3 is a complete new implementation based on Zope 3 technologies and can be used both in Zope 2.8 or in Zope 3. What's new? - multi-field indexing and query support - multi-lingual support - configurable converters (through ZCML) - new indexing API (allowing you to hook your custom content types with TextIndexNG through Zope 3 adapters). Changes in V 3.1.10: - some fixes in the Plone adapters - the TextIndexNG 3 repository has been migrated from CVS to SVN (http://svn.sf.net/textindexng) Requirements: - Zope 2.8+, Zope 3.2+ Download: http://sf.net/projects/textindexng Project page: http://opensource.zopyx.biz/OpenSource/TextIndexNG3 For installation and documentation issues refer to doc/README.txt from the archive. zope and redhat

Hi all, sorry for my english I have installed zope 2.8.7, Python 2.3.5 on Linux redhat enterprise AS 4 (2 cpu's and 2.6 kernel). When start zope it starts only one thread. I have compiled python with flag "with-thread", but all is the same. Pleas help me. database conflict errors

During recent load testing of a new application 3.1% to 7.6% of all http requests resulted in conflict errors (3.1% with 10 simultaneous users; 7.6% with 50 simultaneous users). I can, for instance, call > /folder/pythonscript/title_or_id > /folder/pythonscript/manage_workspace If you want to be sure about the behaviour of your display template I would change the URL to something like: folder/displayroutine?id=objectid and have displayroutine (a script or method) access the object via the parameter id ad generate the appropriate display (based on the type of object it is given). This way you are not going to run into differences in aquisition handling for different types of objects that you are trying to display. Jonathan
