Problem with DTML and JOINS(ZSQL)

Dear all, I am developing a web application for a biological research institute down here in india. I have some problem in using JOINS. The below is the queries i used, *SQL query **File name : drug* select drug_name,dtype from bio_info_schema.drug order by dtype *File name:drug_gene_details* Note : i used both the sql queries seperately, but neither one worked. try clause in external method

I have the following external method which takes an input .csv file and enters the data into a database by calling a ZSQL method. There may be errors in the input file and so I am trying to catch them and insert each bad row in a different table. The errors are detected by table constraints on the table definition and should be reported by the Psycopg connector. However no correct rows are entered and only the last error row is entered. Upgrade to 2.7.2 results in all content unavailable

I upgraded to Zope 2.7.2 and all of my content can't be seen by Zope. Honestly I'm not sure what the previous version I was running was (nor am I sure how to find out). Now, every page results in Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. Resource not found Sorry, the requested resource does not exist. Check the URL and try again. Resource: Zope GET There is effectively no more web interface. I've verified that the database still seems to be there in [instance]/var/Data.fs and hasn't been touched since the update. I tried going through some of the steps in the Troubleshooting and Debugging page http://www.zope.org/Documentation/Books/ZDG/current/TestingAndDebugging.stx I can do a ZPublisher.Zope('/manage') in python and see that it returns a "Resource not found" page. Interestingly, my log which was being written to /var/log/zope started writing to the default location after the install. I feel like there isn't enough here to determine whether there is a bug or whether I've mucked something up myself. But perhaps some gentle guidance would help me determine whether there is a bug or just my own ignorance. Was there a config file that got overwritten in the update? Where would it be? Perhaps there are some clues in the lines written to the log file upon startup. A little off the zope topic, but... In order to ensure usability by all of our users (regardless as to device type) we do not use cookies on our WAP sites. We embed a session identifier in every url. File objects AttributeError:alt

I've recently upgraded my Zope version from 2.7.6 to 2.9.8. I've recently discovered that older File objects are generating an AttributeError: alt whenever I call manage_changeProperties() on those File object instances. I'm aware of the change to lib/python/OFS/Image.py that removed the alt class attr from the File class. I thought my File objects would have automatically updated too but, apparently not. I just tried doing the following: objs = context.ZopeFind(context.this(), obj_metatypes=['File'], search_sub=1) for k,v in objs: if hasattr('alt',v): delattr('alt',v) The above code didn't seem to do anything to fix the issue. Critical System Hosed, Plan B - upgrade zope, convert db

Okay, I accept that Zope is a mysterious god that requires sacrifice. And I wasn't able to solve the mysteries of how to get it up and running again with my old data after an unintentional "upgrade." However... I can upgrade Python from 2.4.2 to 2.4.4 and upgrade Zope from 2.7.2 to 2.10.5, get that working, and then hopefully convert my old data. I can handle the python and zope upgrades, but have no idea how to take my old zope database and use it with my brand new zope installation. Any ideas?
