Displaying a pdf file.

Hello, What is the best way to display a pdf file in a zope application. I may select the file from an oracle database of get it from a file system. I'm not sure at the moment. My Zope Bible book shows how to upload a pdf file from a filesytem then view it. But in my case the pdf I want to view is based on an ID entered by the user. There may be many different pdf and I can't upload them all. I want to be able to 1) if the the pdf is on server then view (\docs\my.pdf) using the correct application type or 2) if I select the pdf from an oracle table (stored as a BLOB) <dtml-in sql-get_pdf> somehow display the pdf </dtml-in> Thanks for your help Mike Guerrero

ZPT can't find file id in from form

I didn't know that was logic :) Now I am really confused. What part of the "try...except...else" logic is failing to get the error message. Larry, are you running it under Windows? have you instaled wvware? -- I'm running on Linux (RedHat 9 to be exact). Yes, wvware is installed.

Assuming you're talking about using MailHost, there are just two steps: 1. Configure an SMTP server to relay your mail. 2. Point to it with MailHost Step 1 is obviously more difficult. How you go about this will depend on what mail software you (or your ISP) use. If you're not the admin for your server, get in touch with the person who is and ask them to configure smtp to relay mail from your domain and/or network address. If you are the admin, look at the docs for your MTA/mail server. Sorting a custom-built list with dtml-in

Hello, I have a DTML method that iterates over a list built by a Python script with the <dtml-in> tag. I want to be able to sort the list (with the attribute sort=sortColumn in the dtml-in tag). I have a few questions on this topic: 1) I assume that the dtml-in tag does not know how to sort a list of dictionaries having the same keys. It only knows how to sort Python class instances. Is it correct? 2) If I have to store Python class instances in my list, what feature must the class have? Does it have to inherit from Acquisition.Implicit, and / or Record.Record? 3) Do I miss something else on this topic? Thanks for your help, Robert __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Hello, Regarding the mail I have just sent, I think that I forgot about the "mapping" attribute of the dtml-in tag.
